Sounds of the Big Easy, the latest theatrical music production from Six String Society, will be performed at Poway OnStage one-night-only Saturday, February 24, 2017 at 8:00pm. The show will feature Mr. Gregory Page, Sue Palmer, Casey Hensley, Sharifah Muhammad, The Euphoria Brass Band, Nathan James, The Bayou Brothers and others.

In Toho Stage's return engagement of Dogfight patrons may recognize several company members. All but three actors were part of the Japanese premiere in 2015 at Theater Crea in Chiyoda. Based on the 1991 Warner Brothers film written by Bob Comfort, the musical stays faithful to the screenplay. This current revival in three cities- Osaka, Tokyo, and Nagoya­- features the all-Japanese cast in a distinctly American story set in the backdrop of the Vietnam War.

Sedos presents a new production of the award-winning musical Dogfight at the Bridewell Theatre, off Fleet Street, from 6 - 10 March 2018. The musical, which has book by Peter Duchan and music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, is based on the 1991 movie of the same name starring River Phoenix.

So, it is nice to look back and see two lovers really try to change or at least compromise in order to work things out. Simon's crisp dialogue and funny offbeat situations are certainly as timely as ever, and in GCT's sturdy production, the look and feel of the 60s are kept vibrantly alive thanks to a great cast and George Strattan's meticulous direction.
