On Sunday, the Drama Desk Award-winning musical Desperate Measures announced that it would be wrapping up it's Off-Broadway transfer run at New World Stages later this month on Sunday, Oct. 28. This campy send up of 1970's disaster movies is riddled with a cast of characters ranging form the scientist trying to warn everyone of the disasters about to come, a guy sneaking on the ship just to get laid, a couple celebrating a business deal, and a reporter who is trying to get the big story on this floating disaster waiting to happen. New 27 Foot Tall Interactive Holiday Attraction The Present Announced For LOVE Park

Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Fairmount Park Conservancy have partnered to bring "The Present"- a new, interactive holiday attraction - to the recently renovated LOVE Park. An added feature to the annual Christmas Village in Philadelphia, The Present is a glowing, 27-foot-tall, walk-through holiday gift box, featuring a 4-foot decorative bow and five miles of red and white LED lights, consisting of 100,000 bulbs! The Present creates a space for LOVE Park visitors to donate to various causes that will benefit the people and parks of Philadelphia.
