RICKIE LEE JONES is that rare musician who has transcended the singer/songwriter mantle by incorporating different radio genres from the get-go and she continues that tradition on the forthcoming album KICKS, her newest collection of songs from the great American songbook. Due out June 7, the album spans two decades (50s-70s) of pop, rock and jazz, presenting her unique and sophisticated interpretations of these songs.

Starting February 7, 2019, Milagro presents the North American Premiere of Alberto Cañas Escalante's La Segua, with original music by Carlos Escalante Macaya directed by Roy Antonio Arauz. La Segua runs from February 7 to March 2, 2019 in the Milagro Theatre.

San Francisco Ballet opens Program 02, Kaleidoscope, on February 12, with performances through February 23 at SF War Memorial Opera House. The Kravis Center Pops Orchestra under the baton of Michael Feinstein, one of the most beloved entertainers of our generation honored another legend......Jack Jones. Jack Jones, the vocalist who created a sound track of love ballads and swinging hit songs for most of the Kravis audience's ( and the worlds) musical life walked out on it's stage and there was no doubt that the look, sound, and magnetism of Mr. Jones was in full force and undiminished at this juncture in his career. Palm Beach gave him a standing ovation after his thrilling rendition of Man of La Mancha, one of Jack's signature songs.

The latest additions recognize a diverse range of both singles and album recordings at least 25 years old that exhibit qualitative or historical significance. Each year recordings are reviewed by a special member committee comprised of eminent and knowledgeable professionals from all branches of the recording arts, with final approval by the Recording Academy's National Board of Trustees. With 25 new titles, the Hall, now in its 46th year, currently totals 1,088 recordings and is on display at The GRAMMY Museum.

Happy New Year to the Syracuse area theater community! We have a new year filled a variety of theatrical productions throughout the greater Syracuse area coming up! We are fortunate to live in an area that has so many talented actors, technicians, and directors as well as dedicated theater companies - not to mention supportive theatergoers. From the local theaters to the Equity tours that come through the area, we are lucky that Syracuse offers many opportunities to experience live theater. Having seen countless productions in this area since I was young and reviewed many shows for the past few years, I thought I would take a moment to share which productions I am most excited about in 2019!
