The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) is proud to present La Frontera: Encounters Along the Border, an international exhibition of contemporary jewelry that explores the US-Mexico border as a complex landscape of human interaction. Opening today and running through September 23, the exhibition features forty-eight artists from the United States, Latin America, and Europe whose works expose the underlying currents of the border environment within geographic, ecological, political, economic, social, cultural, and ideological contexts.

On Thursday, March 1, 20 families in Queens will receive a copy of the Snowy Day. This effort is to support and encourage families to read together. According to Savona Bailey-McClain, Host & Producer of the radio show State of the Arts NYC heard on WBAI, 'Snowy Day was the first book my mother bought me and my sister through the school program with Scholastic Books. We liked it so much that she went on to buy Whistle for Willie. I hope these families will enjoy the same pleasure I did as a child'.

BEDLAM (Eric Tucker, Artistic Director; Kimberly Pau Boston, Managing Director) returns to the work of George Bernard Shaw with their new production of PYGMALION featuring Rajesh Bose as Mr. Doolittle, Annabel Capper, Nigel Gore, Edmund Lewis, Vaishnavi Sharma as Eliza Doolittle, and Eric Tucker as Professor Henry Higgins.

Plácido Domingo, LA Opera's Eli and Edythe Broad General Director, has announced final details about the company's spring presentation of Christoph Willibald Gluck's landmark masterpiece, Orpheus and Eurydice, which will be conducted by James Conlon, the company's Richard Seaver Music Director. The new production, created by LA Opera in collaboration with Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Hamburg Staatsoper, is directed, choreographed and designed by John Neumeier and will feature the entire company of the Joffrey Ballet, one of the world's great dance companies.

The internationally renowned Lar Lubovitch Dance Company celebrates its 50th anniversary this spring with two programs at The Joyce Theater featuring the world premiere of Lar Lubovitch's Something About Night as well as signature works from the Company's vast repertory. The Company will be joined by the Martha Graham Dance Company and principals from The Joffrey Ballet, each performing seminal Lubovitch dances in honor of this milestone year. PITTSBURGH CLO is pleased to welcome a collection of writing teams from across the country to Pittsburgh for the inaugural SPARK festival in March. These teams were chosen from a highly-selective submissions process and will have the opportunity to rehearse and revise their work in residencies ranging from two days to three weeks. SPARK will provide dramaturgy and production resources to 10 new musicals at all stages of development, in addition to the world premiere of UP AND AWAY. As a part of the development period, eight of the musicals will receive public presentations through which the writing teams can gather audience insights and focus their intentions for the next phase of development. Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop) has announced complete casting for its upcoming production of Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY. As previously reported, Lauren Ambrose will be playing as Eliza Doolittle and Harry Hadden-Paton will play Henry Higgins, alongside Norbert Leo Butz as Alfred P. Doolittle and Diana Rigg as Mrs. Higgins. Just announced are: Allan Corduner as Colonel Pickering, Jordan Donica as Freddy Eynsford-Hill, Linda Mugleston as Mrs. Pearce, and Manu Narayan as Zoltan Karpathy.

Due to ticket demand, LA Opera has scheduled an additional matinee performance of Candide, Leonard Bernstein's 1956 Broadway classic. The added performance will take place on Saturday, February 17, at 2pm.

A new play based on the fiction of Nobel Prize-winning writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez, NO ONE WRITES TO THE COLONEL ( El Colonel No Tiene Quien Le Escriba ) will be given its world premiere production by New York City's celebrated repertory company, REPERTORIO ESPANOL (138 E. 27 St.).

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, presents A Moon for the Misbegotten, written by Eugene O'Neill and directed by WT Resident Director William Brown. A Moon for the Misbegotten runs February 7 March 18, 2018 in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe. The Press Opening is Wednesday, February 14 at 7:30 p.m.

BOZAR is devoting a major retrospective to one of modern art's most famous artists. In honor of his life and legacy, The Jerome Robbins Foundation, partnering with other institutions across the country and around the world, will celebrate his centennial year through Spring 2019.
