Walnut Street Theatre's 2018-19 Independence Studio on 3 Season continues with the gripping and timely play, OLEANNA. Written by David Mamet and directed by Debi Marcucci, the production begins previews on January 15, opens January 17, and continues through February 17.

Separate Oceans, a new evening-length performance work produced by Proteo Media + Performance and choreographed by Kathleen Kelley, makes its premiere January 18-20th at Theaterlab as a part of the TLAB Shares program.

Actor Ng Ka Leung's portrayal of an Alzheimer's patient earned him a nomination as Outstanding Actor at the 9th Hong Kong Theatre Libre. The original cast returns for this revival, including newly crowned Golden Horse "Best Supporting Actor" Ben Yuen, Sung Boon Ho, Man Sui Hing and Ng Ka Leung. An Unjust Good Fellow will appear at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Studio Theatre from December 21st to 30th 2018. Tickets are now available for sale in URBTIX outlets.

Two-time Grammy-nominated and millions-selling progressive music titans Dream Theater recently announced the forthcoming worldwide release of their 14th studio album, Distance Over Time on February 22, 2019. Distance Over Time showcases a newfound creativity for Dream Theater while maintaining the elements that have garnered them devoted fans around the globe. The album also marks the first for the band's new label InsideOutMusic / Sony Music. The artwork was created by long-time cover collaborator Hugh Syme (Rush, Iron Maiden, Stone Sour). Distance Over Time was produced by John Petrucci, mixed by Ben Grosse and mastered by Tom Baker.

Apphia Campbell's solo show inspired by the life of Nina Simone comes to London's Trafalgar Studios for a four-week run with selected performances including a double bill of Black is the Color of My Voice and cabaret show Soul Sessions.

Oslo's explosive Hedvig Mollestad Trio will release Smells Funny, their sixth album in seven years, on January 18, 2019 via Rune Grammofon. The new album sees Mollestad truly coming into her own as an amazing lead guitarist and although there is enough riffing here to satisfy the headbangers, with Smells Funny the trio are venturing into the more free and open landscapes explored on their previous album, Black Stabat Mater.

Rockabilly music legend, Lee Rocker and his band, will be performing for one night only at Husson University's Gracie Theatre on Saturday, November 10, at 7:30 p.m. This Grammy-nominated member of the legendary music group Stray Cats will perform some of the band's signature hits like 'Sexy and Seventeen', 'Stray Cat Strut' and 'Rock This Town.' Original songs, and hits by Elvis and Carl Perkins will also be included in the concert performance.

Hartford Opera Theater will offer New in November 9, a collection of short operas and opera excerpts. LA-based music collective, wild Up, returns to the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts with of Ascension, the first Jazz Club performances for the 2018/19 season on November 8 & 10, 2018.  of Ascension, co-commissioned by The Soraya, is a musical journey inspired by John Coltrane's legendary 1966 album, Ascension.

The Eighth Annual Bickford Benefit Concert featuring an all-star ensemble of outstanding jazz artists from the Tri-State area comes to the Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum for one night only on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 7:30 PM. The ensemble includes trumpeter/vocalist Bria Skonberg, cornetist Warren Vache, trombonist Mariel Bildsten, clarinetist Dan Levinson, pianist Rossano Sportiello, guitarist/vocalist Molly Ryan, bassist Rob Adkins, and drummer Mark McLean.  All of the ticket sales from this concert will go to support programming at the Bickford Theatre.

Jazz at Princeton University presents guest artist and Blue Note Records trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire in the world premiere of Slightly Left of Sorrow's Song, commissioned by Jazz at Princeton University to commemorate the 150th anniversary of W.E.B. DuBois' birth. Akinmusire will perform the 8-movement suite with the school's Small Group I under the leadership of saxophonist and program director Rudresh Mahanthappa.

Prominent Los Angeles  playwright, Josefina Lopez, takes the stage at the Garry Marshall Theatre to dive into the important issues portrayed in Lopez's coming of age comedy, "Real Women Have Curves," with a  special post-show discussion series that begins Oct. 17. Free and open to the public, the series will be led by Lopez herself and feature panelists uniquely related to issues including immigration, retaining one's heritage and women's beauty standards-all prevalent themes in the iconic play, which is currently running at the Garry Marshall Theatre through Nov. 18.

The producers of ANASTASIA have just announced that Cody Simpson will join the Broadway company as leading man 'Dmitry' beginning November 29, 2018. Original company member Zach Adkins will play his final performance on Sunday, November 25.
