After a sell out run at the Arts Theatre last Christmas, Simon Callow is back, for a limited season, with his universally acclaimed production of A Christmas Carol: a triumphant tribute to the richness of Dickens' writing and to the story's continuing relevance to Christmases past, present and future.

Featuring a lively cast of dozens, delightful music, gorgeous costumes, and those deliciously spooky ghosts, the Bay Area's favorite holiday tradition returns with American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.)'s celebrated production of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. Now in its 36th year, this version of A Christmas Carol, adapted by Paul Walsh and Carey Perloff, stays true to the heart of Dickens's timeless story of redemption and brings a playful sensibility to his rich language. A Christmas Carol runs November 30-December 24, 2012, at A.C.T.'s Geary Theater (415 Geary Street, San Francisco). A new musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' much-loved festive classic, A Christmas Carol, will be performed in the spectacular setting of Middle Temple Hall in central London from Saturday 22 - Sunday 30 December 2012, rounding off a year of celebrations marking Dickens' bicentenary.

The producers of the new musical CHAPLIN have just announced full casting for the production, which will star Rob McClure in the title role, as previously announced.
