Irish Arts Center and Baryshnikov Arts Center join forces again to present the U.S. premiere of Colin Dunne's Concert, in which he takes on the widely influential Irish fiddle player Tommie Potts' iconic—and notoriously choreographically challenging—1972 album The Liffey Banks, armed with an LP, tape recorder, portable speakers, and sheets of flooring. Choreographed and performed by Dunne, and created in collaboration with director Sinéad Rushe and composer and sound designer Mel Mercier, Concert, which The Irish Times, in a five-star review, described as “warm, funny, respectful, and irreverent,” comes to Baryshnikov Arts Center November 14-16.

The Tank will present its 2019-20 season at 312 West 36th Street in its 98-seat proscenium and 56-seat blackbox spaces. This FREE community event will be held in Mashashimuet Park in Sag Harbor, NY on August 16 and 17 at 7 pm and is the latest installment of Bay Street's ongoing Under the Stars Community Outreach Program. Following the Mystic Valley Band's recent reunion shows and a cover of his 2013 song “Dominos” on the critically acclaimed Better Oblivion Community Center album (which was the only one non-original Oberst/Bridgers composition), Taylor Hollingsworth's (Conor Oberst & the Mystic Valley Band, Dead Fingers, The Dexateens) new LP Tap Dancin' Daddy is out August 2, 2019 on Flower Moon Records (the LA based label founded by Maria Taylor of Azure Ray).Today Taylor Hollingsworth shared the title track from the forthcoming release with PopMatters. About the song, PopMatters says, 'There's something beautifully fragile in Hollingsworth's performance on a song that calls to mind a '70s solo record from former Rolling Stone Bill Wyman or the country colors of Ronnie Lane's Slim Chance. And though it's a contemporary song, not a throwback, there is something about Hollingsworth's sincerity and the familiarity of the tale he tells that makes this a tune for any time.'

PTPNYC (Potomac Theatre Project), in association with Middlebury College, presents its 33rd repertory season, its 13th consecutive in New York City. Previews begin tonight for a July 16 opening, running through August 4 in a limited Off-Broadway engagement at The Atlantic Stage 2, located at 330 West 16th Street.

The Rocket Summer's 'mastermind (Billboard),' multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, and performer, Bryce Avary, shares his new video and single, 'Peace Signs,' today. The track is the third single from the forthcoming, new album, Sweet Shivers, due out this summer, on August 2, 2019. Anthemic and summery, the track has a groovy, beachy, cruising on the coast kind of feel. Describing the single, Avary says, 'Take it as a plea for peace, or take it as a bit of apathetic satire, but either way I hope you take a drive with your windows down blasting the new single Peace Signs this weekend.'

About the song Paste says, “'Devil N Me' is thematic kin to Florence + The Machine's 'Shake It Off' but shares sound qualities with the latest from Gary Clark Jr.—that's to say, it's pure, hot blues. There's that sludgy guitar, smug harmonica and even what sounds like a washboard breakdown, but there's also weird pedal effects and a synthetic organ. Hollingsworth sings the blues in his gritty, old-school alto, repeating 'I've got the devil in me' until it sounds like he's finally expunged the evil from his insides.'

Applications open May 12th.The Mentorship program is the cornerstone of Queer|Art's activity, providing a platform of support for LGBTQ+ artists focused on creative issues and long-term sustainability of artistic practice. Over the course of a year-long exchange, the program helps to forge new relationships between early-career and established LGBTQ+ artists and curators, bridging professional and social thresholds that often isolate artists by generation and discipline.

Philip Wilson directs Connor Bannister (Luke), Jane Bertish (Miss Rosenblum/Vladimir), Theo Fraser Steele (Martin/Stephen/Prospero), Corey Montague-Sholay (Selwyn/Dave), Tom Ross-Williams (Mark/The Director/Frank), Rachel Summers (Jody/Mme Irina/Debbie/Wayne), and Rebecca Todd (Marianne/Maggie/Miranda). This Island's Mine opens at the King's Head Theatre on 17 May, with previews from 15 May, until 8 June.

 iHeartMedia and Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) announced today that the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards will feature performances by Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Garth Brooks, John Legend and Kacey Musgraves, with more to be announced. The live two-hour event airs Thursday, March 14 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.  The sixth annual iHeartRadio Music Awards will also air live on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and iHeartRadio, the all-in-one digital music, podcast, on demand and live-streaming radio service.

Los Angeles quintet Young Hunting will release their sophomore album True Believers on February 15 via Gold Robot Records (pre-order). Young Hunting have announced a hometown record release show taking place on February 28 at Harvard & Stone. Today the band shared the official video for 'Sargasso' which was directed by Emily Beyda with The Talkhouse.
