Aquila Theatre winds up its 54-city tour of the U.S. in New York City with William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and Mary Shelly's Frankenstein, adapted by Desiree Sanchez and Peter Meineck.

The Legendary David Hargraves is the voice of the ghost of Hamlet's father in the Shakespeare@ inaugural production of HAMLET, which begins performances Thursday, March 28th. The Colorado Music Festival today announced the appointment of conductor Peter Oundjian as its next Music Director. He is the fourth person to hold this title in the 42-year history of the festival, which is held for six weeks each year at the Colorado Chautauqua, a National Historic Landmark at the foot of the rugged Flatirons. Mr. Oundjian led the 2018 festival as Artistic Advisor, and his appointment as Music Director was announced along with the festival's 2019 season, which runs from June 27 to August 3 and explores the legacy of Beethoven.

The building has a glorious history of "firsts" and in 2009, after over seventy years of theatrical, screened and broadcast entertainment inside the theatre, it became the first structure in Hollywood's 21st century to curate entertainment on its rooftop. Between sports-related, high-energy dance, film screenings under the stars and other public and private events, The Montalban will be celebrating its first decade of outdoor activities on its multifaceted rooftop in 2019 - all year long! To kick-off its alfresco decade, it's hosting pop-up movie screenings starting on February 1st, just in time for Groundhog Day, with a trio of Harold Ramis comedies before the official season of Rooftop Movies at The Montalban returns in April. Rita Moreno, who famously played Anita in the original 1962 film version of West Side Story, will return for Steven Spielberg's upcoming adaptation. Moreno will play Valentina, a reconceived version of Doc. She will also serve as an Executive Producer.
