This August, New York City will host the first ever Classical Bridge, an international music festival, academy and conference designed to build bridges through the music. Jersey Boys will open at Sydney's Capitol Theatre on 6 September 2018 for a strictly limited season. This internationally acclaimed hit musical tells the true-life story of four guys from the wrong side of the tracks, the rise to stardom of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, one of the most successful bands in pop music history. The band sold more than 175 million records and were inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame for their worldwide hits, including Can't Take My Eyes Off You, Walk Like a Man, Bye Bye Baby, Sherry and Big Girls Don't Cry, which all feature in the musical.

The Artistic Home Ensemble will present the Chicago premiere of Lauren Gunderson's ADA AND THE ENGINE as the final entry in its three-play 2018-19 season, according to company Artistic Director Kathy Scambiatterra, who announced the season today. The 36-year-old Gunderson was the most-produced playwright in America during 2017, according to American Theatre Magazine.

A soulful retelling of L. Frank Baum's beloved The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, The Wiz combines fairy-tale glamour with street smarts to make a classic fantasy sparkle for today.  And our directors and choreographer will bring a blast of New Orleans Creole magic to this production!  Winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Score, The Wiz ingeniously mixes rock, gospel, soul, and jazz, and features hits like 'Ease on Down the Road,' 'A Brand New Day,' and 'Home.'

Vietgone by Qui Nguyen is the Vietnamese-American playwright's own creation story-a telling of his parents' 1975 refugee camp romance in a "geek theater" spectacle that's at turns affecting, sage, raucous, and fantastical. A screenwriter for Marvel Studios and founder of Obie Award-winning company Vampire Cowboys, Nguyen's work champions representation and diversity on stage while dripping with pop culture nods, contemporary music, and action-adventure narrative. The production pairs this Studio-commissioned playwright with director and Studio Cabinet member Natsu Onoda Power. Drawing on Vietgone's comic book aesthetics, Studio's Stage 4 is transformed into a garage concert with a live band and original funk-rock-punk-n-roll score, giving audiences a front row seat to this anything-but-typical story of boy meets girl.

American singer, songwriter and musician GREGORY DARLING partnered with Elmore Magazine (3/13) to premiere the lead single 'My Sleeping Heart' and itsofficial video. Academy Award-nominee, Angela Bassett will join Kathleen Battle as a guest narrator in Battle's program Underground Railroad: A Spiritual Journey accompanied by pianist Joel Martin and the LA-based choir, The Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers at the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) on Thursday, March 29 at 8:00pm.

Legendary songwriter, recording artist and performer Paul Simon has announced the final leg of Homeward Bound – The Farewell Tour, culminating with four shows in the New York City area: the Prudential Center on September 15 in Newark, NJ(the city where Simon was born), and two nights at Madison Square Garden on September 20 and 21, with an additional concert to be announced soon.  As previously announced, Simon and his band will embark on the artist's final tour May 16 in Vancouver, bringing to the stage a stunning, career-spanning repertoire of timeless hits and classic songs.

Last season's hit musical, Million Dollar Quartet, is back by popular demand for a strictly limited run in the Elaine P. Wilson Stage, from June 14 to July 8. With book by Floyd Mutrux and Colin Escott, based on an original concept by Floyd Mutrux and inspired by the music of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins, Million Dollar Quartet is directed by Tony Award Nominee Hunter Foster.

More members of the 'Jesus Christ Superstar Live!' cast have been announced. Set for Easter Sunday (April 1, 2018), NBC will bring to broadcast television 'Jesus Christ Superstar Live!' -- a one-of-a-kind live staging of the iconic 1971 Broadway rock opera with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. The event will be executive produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice, Marc Platt, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. Get to know the cast with some of their past performances below!

Legendary songwriter, recording artist and performer Paul Simon, announced today that he will be adding a 3rd and final show at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA on Monday, May 28th 2018 as a part of his Homeward Bound - The Farewell Tour. The previously announced concert dates on May 22nd and May 23rd at The Hollywood Bowl sold-out shortly after they were announced. JERSEY BOYS Director, Des McAnuff announces the talented ensemble he has cast in the keenly-anticipated season of JERSEY BOYS, opening for a strictly limited season at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney this September.

The charismatic music/producer/performer Beduk has been a star in Turkey for more than ten years and is as popular for his brilliant live shows as he is for his music and his unique style. Arena Stage Artistic Director Molly Smith and Executive Director Edgar Dobie are pleased to announce that Broadway legend Maurice Hines will serve as the Master of Ceremonies and international touring artist and global humanitarian Mary McBride will headline the 2018 Arena Stage Gala honoring Mayor Muriel Bowser on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Mead Center for American Theater (1101 Sixth St., SW). As previously announced, the Gala features the presentation of the third annual Beth Newburger Schwartz Award to D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, and will recognize Jessica Stafford Davis as an Emerging Leader. The Gala is helmed by event chairs and Arena Stage Trustees Lavern Chatman and Maggie FitzPatrick.

American singer, songwriter and musician GREGORY DARLING will release MADLY, his debut solo album in the U.S. in late April (exact date TBA), after having released three albums throughout the U.K. and Europe, with the first two discs achieving Top Ten positions. MADLY, due out on FOD Records, will be preceded by the March 19 release of the first single, 'My Sleeping Heart,'an upbeat slice of piano-based soulful pop marked by his distinctive croon, cascading melodies and incisive lyrics about a busted-up relationship.
