Court Theatre Extends Critically-Acclaimed Production of ALL MY SONS

Court Theatre, under the continuing leadership of Charles Newell, Marilyn F. Vitale Artistic Director, announces the extension of All My Sons by Arthur Miller, directed by Charles Newell and featuring Kate Collins, John Judd and Timothy Edward Kane. All My Sons now runs through February 18, 2018 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Bang on a Can and the Jewish Museum's 2017-18 concert season, which focuses on pioneering female artists, continues on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 7:30pm with a performance by Iva Bittov . Bittov is known foremost as a violinist-vocalist whose distinct music blends styles from many global music cultures eastern European folk, western classical, Indian, Middle Eastern, and American rock 'n roll.

Casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for the Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; James Houghton, Founder) production of Edward Albee's At Home at the Zoo: Homelife & The Zoo Story. This new production, directed by Drama Desk Award-winner Lila Neugebauer (Signature Plays, Everybody), honors Legacy Playwright Edward Albee, who was in residence at Signature during the 1993-94 Season and returned to the company for four more productions. Albee passed away in 2016.

Faust Theatre Opens 2018 Season with LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS

Faust Theatre is wrapping up the 2016 -17 season that began with The Drowsy Chaperone by Bob Martin and Lisa Lambert, directed by Lily Nicholas, followed by a one-night only performance of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee by Rachel Sheinkin and Willian Finn, and finished the year with the summer smash-hit of Heathers the Musical by Laurence O'Keefe, both directed by Zach Faust, the latter joined by Frederick Rivera.

Trinity Repertory Company announces the workshop of A Seat at the Table: The Testimony of Fannie Lou Hamer, the new play about the civil rights activist who risked her life to register black voters in the segregated South. The work is penned by nationally-celebrated, multiple award-winning playwright and actress Regina Taylor. The workshop is part of a new partnership between the Brown/Trinity MFA program and Rites and Reason Theatre at Brown University, part of the Department of Africana Studies, which develops innovative theatrical forms rooted in Africana cultural traditions and expressions.

Sean Carvajal has joined the Signature Theatre production of Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train, by Pulitzer Prize-winner Stephen Adly Guirgis and directed by Obie Award-winner Mark Brokaw. Mr. Carvajal assumes the role of Angel Cruz, which was previously played by Victor Rasuk, who has departed the production due to personal reasons.

The American Dance Festival (ADF) will present the 2018 Samuel H. Scripps/American Dance Festival Award for lifetime achievement to acclaimed choreographer, Ronald K. Brown. Established in 1981 by Samuel H. Scripps, the annual award honors choreographers who have dedicated their lives and talent to the creation of modern dance. Celebrated dancer, choreographer, and teacher Dianne McIntyre will present the $50,000 award in a brief ceremony on Thursday, June 28th at 8:00pm, prior to the performance of Evidence, A Dance Company at Reynolds Industries Theater.

An eclectic lineup is featured this month at Blue Note Hawaii with an array of iconic national artists, local favorites and hilarious comedians. For the third consecutive year, The Galician Cinema and Food Festival ('GC&FF') will be held from June 27 through June 30, 2017 in New York City at the Instituto Cervantes. This year, GC&FF is honored to welcome Ivan Dominguez, the first Galician Michelin StarChef, who is one of the nine founding members of the elite Galician culinary group 'Nove Grupo Gastronómico'. Dominguez also participated in the 11th Annual StarChefs International Chefs Congress where he shared the stage with another top chef from Spain, Elena Arzak. This will be the first time Dominguez will perform in front of a New York audience, preparing some of the best delicacies of the new Atlantic cuisine.
