The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas in Pine Bluff rolled out the red carpet for RAZZLE DAZZLE: A Night at the Movies, held October 24–26. Directed by Lindsey Collins with Co-Director Joel Anderson, Music Director Faron Wilson, and Choreographer Heather Bankhead, this glitzy celebration of movie music transformed the stage into a shimmering, silver-screen spectacle, all while supporting a great cause.

This year, the cast and crew of Razzle Dazzle are set to travel the world of music from the County Music and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame to the Songwriters and Blues Halls of Fame.

Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre's production of CHICAGO is running now until November 9, 2024.

Last week, Museum of Broadway launched its latest special exhibit: ALL THAT JAZZ: The Legacy of CHICAGO The Musical, celebrating Bob Fosse, Fred Ebb, and John Kander's timeless classic, currently the longest-running show on Broadway. Jim Caruso’s Cast Party, which is about to celebrate two decades at the iconic Birdland in NYC, seems to be entering a Golden Age of entertainment! The original direction for 'Razzle Dazzle' was ambitious, but was ultimately cut and re-thought due to the film's tight budget and shooting schedule.

After 25 record-breaking years on Broadway, Chicago returned to the small screen earlier today for an appearance on CBS' broadcast of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Angela Bacari is 78 years young. But nothing in either her appearance of performance belies that fact. The woman has pipes and she knows how to use them. She is a jazz stylist who can rank with some of the greats. She can belt to the rafters but is also capable of very tender passages. She has an amazingly supple technique, which explains why she is so in demand as a vocal coach to the stars, counting Liza Minelli, Marisa Berenson, Deana Martin, and Billy Gilman among her protegés. She has appeared on The Merv Griffin Show, and The Dinah Shore Show as well as opening for Rodney Dangerfield, Phyllis Diller, Bill Cosby, and Pat Cooper. But last night, she was the headliner and the crowd went wild for her. It was been nearly 40 years since Ms. Bacari has made an appearance on the NY stage and it is highly overdue.

Announced in the show's lead roles were Ana Villafañe as Roxie Hart, Bianca Marroquín as Velma Kelly, and Tony Award-winner Lillias White as Matron 'Mama' Morton.
