Tonight, September 9, some of Broadway's brightest talents will sing completely new arrangements of the hits of Amy Winehouse in the next concert of the BROADWAY SINGS concert series. More than 20 Broadway performers will be accompanied by a full band playing brand new, original orchestrations of the English singer's greatest songs. The concert is the fifth of the series; previously honored were Adele, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Stevie Wonder.

The cast will feature Karen Mason as Sue. Ms. Mason has appeared in Broadway'sWonderland, Hairspray, Mamma Mia!, Sunset Boulevard, Jerome Robbins' Broadway, Play Me a Country Song as well as Goodspeed's Heartbeats at The Norma Terris Theatre. Opposite her as Dan will be Tony-nominated Mark Jacoby whose credits include Broadway's Elf, Sweeney Todd, Man of La Mancha, Ragtime,Showboat, Grand Hotel, The Phantom of the Opera and Sweet Charity. Mr. Jacoby performed at the Goodspeed Opera House in On The Twentieth Century.

Wicked, the smash hit musical, makes its much-anticipated return to Hennepin Theatre Trust's Orpheum Theatre, Wednesday, Sept. 18-Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013. This fourth Minneapolis engagement follows extremely popular runs in 2006, 2008 and 2010. Based on the best-selling 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire about the untold story of the witches of Oz, Wicked is the winner of 35 major awards, including a Grammy and three Tony Awards. The Guthrie Theater today announced casting for its production of Nina Raine's Tribes. Winner of the 2012 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play and a 2010 Olivier Award nominee for Best Play, Tribes is a provocative, poignant family drama that illuminates the fascinating interplay of sound and communication, perception and true understanding. Wendy Goldberg (Guthrie: Dollhouse) directs this regional premiere that begins performances on the McGuire Proscenium Stage on Friday, October 5.

Infinity Theatre Company (Anna Roberts Ostroff & Alan Ostroff) and Perry Street Theatricals (Martin Platt & David Elliott) have just announced that the first Broadway production of DAMES AT SEA will set sail on Broadway in 2014. With a book and lyrics by George Haimsohn and Robin Miller, music by Jim Wise, and musical direction byRob Berman (The Pajama Game, Finian's Rainbow), DAMES AT SEA will be directed and choreographed by three time Tony Award nominee Randy Skinner (42nd Street, Irving Berlin's White Christmas). Design team, casting, production dates and Broadway theatre to be announced at a later date.

Proceeds of One Night Only benefit the artistic/educational programs of East West Players and the organization's endowment.

This summer Broadway actress Sara Gettlefinger is joined by regional theatre actress Jessie Withers as well as local actors, Tessa Cavaletto, Nicole Dille, Daniel Hernandez, Terry Lewis, Kyla Martin, Harrison Mills, and Mark Rogers in the Central Valley premiere of Grey Gardens at StageWorks Fresno. Joel C. Abels directs the cult-hit film turned musical at the Dan Pessano Theatre for a limited engagement of 11 performances. A musical event that is not to be missed, Grey Gardens opens on July 26, and plays through August 11.
