The Respect My Vote! campaign today announced multifaceted entertainer Keke Palmer as the latest celebrity spokesperson. An accomplished actress, singer, and television host, Keke started her film career at the age of 11 in the critically acclaimed 'Akeelah & the Bee'. She has since led a groundbreaking career with starring roles in 'True Jackson VP', 'A Trip to Bountiful', 'Joyful Noise', 'Brotherly Love' and other major film and television roles. Currently, she is a star on 'Scream Queens', as well as a cast member of the Fox presentation 'Grease Live' that recently garnered 10 Emmy nominations. "Balanchine and Beyond," the Pennsylvania Ballet's strangely named program that I saw Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Merriam Theater in Philadelphia, was a very satisfying evening. Of course, beyond can mean anything, so the choice of Trisha Brown, Hans van Manen and Jean-Pierre Frohlich was a very strange, or very apt, combination, depending on how you view and take your ballet. So I decided, if this is what they are presenting, I'll sit down and enjoy myself. And, for the most part, I did.

Further cast members are announced to join the previously confirmed star Dominic Cooper in Stephen Jeffreys' sexually charged masterpiece The Libertine this autumn. Directed by Olivier and Tony Award-winning Terry Johnson, the play will have a limited run from 31 August to 17 September at Bath Theatre Royal as part of the theatre's 2016 summer season, prior to a West End engagement at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 22 September to 3 December with opening night for press on 27 September.

Theatreworks USA will continue its 2016 weekend family performance series this Sunday April 3rd, with Henry and Mudge? was adapted by bookwriter/lyricist Kait Kerrigan and composer/lyricist Brian Lowdermilk (Jonathan Larson Award-winners) and is based on the best-selling books by Cynthia Rylant, illustrated by Sucie Stevenson. Henry and Mudge premiered Off-Broadway in July 2006 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. This 60-minute musical is recommended for ages 4 and up.

This summer marks the return of the Oxford Playhouse to middle scale producing with the world premiere of the stage adaptation of Peter Pan in Scarlet, the best-selling official sequel to JM Barrie's Peter Pan, written by Carnegie Medal and three times Whitbread Children's Book Award winner Geraldine McCaughrean. The book was originally commissioned by Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity to whom Barrie gifted all rights to the character and original writings in 1929. The novel will be brought thrillingly to life by director and adapter Theresa Heskins, Artistic Director of the New Vic Theatre, and an award-winning team including Aerial Director, Vicki Amedume, Artistic Director of circus theatre company Upswing, composer and Musical Director, James Atherton and designer Liz Cooke.
