FX Picks Up New Limited Series DEVS

PlayGround, the Bay Area's (and now Los Angeles') leading playwright incubator, will mark the opening of its twenty-fifth season with a special one-night gala celebration and performance, and the launch of a bold new partnership. Executive Producer Robyn Goodman, Producing Director Alexander Fraser and Producers Stephen Kocis and Josh Fiedler announced final casting for Bucks County Playhouse's world-premiere concert adaptation of Oscar Hammerstein II and Jerome Kern's legendary musical, 'Show Boat,' which will set sail this Saturday, June 23 at 7 p.m.

Strewth! Everyone's favourite flamin' galah, Ray Meagher, will reprise his role as outback mechanic "Bob" in the 10th anniversary celebration tour of homegrown musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert. The treasured Australian actor, who recently notched up 30 years as Home and Away's Alf Stewart, will swap Summer Bay for the Queensland stage, joining the cast of Priscilla for the musical's Brisbane run at Lyric Theatre, QPAC beginning 26th September. Ray takes over from veteran actor Robert Grubb who will down tools at the end of the Adelaide season after more than eight months on the road.

Hulu and VICE Media announced their first-ever content licensing agreement. The new pact — VICELAND's first SVOD partnership — will increase Hulu's library of unscripted programming with 15 critically acclaimed series from VICELAND, including all past episodes of the Emmy Award-nominated Gaycation and Woman, as well as popular shows such as F*ck, That's Delicious.  These and other VICELAND series will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu beginning June 8th, significantly expanding the reach of the new channel's award-winning content library.
