Celebrated creative collaborators over two decades, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage and director Kate Whoriskey will return to Goodman Theatre with their latest Broadway production, Clyde’s, launching the Goodman’s 2022/2023 Season.

Violinist Yevgeny Kutik ––  known for his “dark-hued tone and razor-sharp technique” (The New York Times) — will make his Maverick Concerts debut as part of Maverick Concerts' Annual Chamber Orchestra Concert, on Saturday August 27, 2022 at 6pm. Kutik will be the featured soloist alongside the Caroga Arts Ensemble, led by Music Director Alexander Platt. The performance will be held at Maverick Concert Hall (120 Maverick Road).

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts has announced a spectacular line-up of 11 new shows as part of the 30th anniversary 2022-2023 season. Goodman Theatre announced casting for Life After by rising star writer/lyricist/composer Britta Johnson, directed by Annie Tippe. Leading the cast of nine is Samantha Williams as teenaged Alice—a young woman who, in search of facts, uncovers a more complicated truth as she pieces together events of the fateful night that changed her family forever.

Crawford again joins forces with pianist Victor Santiago Asunción, and on three tracks with guitarist JIJI, perform a survey of Latin American music that includes works by Leo Brouwer, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Carlos Guastavino, Manuel Ponce, Egberto Gismonti, and Astor Piazzolla.

On Friday, June 3, 2022, violinist Itamar Zorman will release a new album Violin Odyssey on First Hand Records. Born out of Zorman's 2020 live-streamed video series Hidden Gems, the album is a virtual voyage around the world that yielded the discovery of many lesser known and rarely played works for violin.

Harvey c*cks Jr. has taken his final bow and left the stage. Harvey may not have been “born in a trunk,” as the saying goes, but as the scion of a theatrical family, he did sleep in one as a baby.  He was born April 3, 1925 in Glen Cove, Long Island. 

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Burry Fredrik Foundation championing the growth and continuing health of Connecticut's non-profit professional producing theaters. Since 2012, the Foundation has granted over $3 million to a dozen Connecticut theaters with a proven track record of accomplishments. In 2022, $500,000 will be awarded. The Foundation was established by Burry Fredrik (1925-2012), a Tony Award-winning producer and noted director, who lived in Weston, CT.
