Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Ito Aghayere, Phillip James Brannon, Tony Carlin, Caroline Hewitt, Rick Holmes, Ted Koch, Teresa Avia Lim, Danny Mastrogiorgio, Nate Miller, Ethan Phillips, Matthew Rauch, Matthew Saldivar, Michael Siberry, Miriam Silverman, Joey Slotnick, and Henry Stram will join Steven Pasquale to comprise the cast of its upcoming production of Junk, a new play by Ayad Akhtar, directed by Doug Hughes.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) Free For All, one of the capital's most beloved annual traditions offering free performances of a Shakespearean classic to the general public each summer, will return next month with the Company's 2016 production of William Shakespeare's Othello. Helmed by internationally acclaimed director Ron Daniels and starring screen actor Faran Tahir in the titular role, the production will run at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F St. NW) from August 15-27, offering more than 12,000 people the chance to see the play free of charge.

For some time, rumors have swirled that Daniel Craig, the most recent actor to fill the shoes of super spy James Bond, would not be returning for yet another sequel of the iconic series. However, this week it has been reported that Craig has at last reached an agreement to return as the debonir Mr. Bond for the fifth time.

For the fourth consecutive season, the world-renowned Bolshoi Ballet lights up cinema screens nationwide with a bold lineup of newly-staged ballet classics, as part of the 2017-18 Bolshoi Ballet in Cinema Series. Featuring eight performances on select Sundays from October 2017 to June 2018, audiences can experience the Bolshoi Ballet at its finest, with stunning ballets captured live from the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Russia, from the comfort of their local cinema.

Rick Dildine, artistic and executive director of Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, will join Alabama Shakespeare Festival as Artistic Director. In his new role, Dildine will oversee an operation that produces 10 productions in two venues set in a 250-acre park with an annual budget of $8.1 million and more than 230 employees. He will assume his new responsibilities Aug. 1.

Atlantic Theater Company will present Asian American Mixfest, a series of free readings co-produced by playwrights Lloyd Suh and Qui Nguyen that will run Wednesday, August 9 through Thursday, August 17 at Atlantic Stage 2 (330 West 16th Street).

Hologram USA Networks Inc.  today announced a partnership with Chicago's historic Avalon Regal Theater to install its patented hologram technology on a permanent basis, allowing live artists to be "beamed" in by telepresence, and for performances by Hologram USA's recreated stars from the past.  The Avalon Regal and the Hologram USA theater in Los Angeles, will be the first full time dedicated hologram theaters in the United States, and their launch kicks off a campaign to build and install 100 theaters nationwide. The Madison Square Garden Company and Live Nation announced today that John Mulaney will bring his 'Kid Gorgeous' tour to the Radio City Music Hall stage on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 7:00PM. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 10:00AM.

An interactive dance work developed over multiple years, through conversations with people from a variety of age groups and subcultures, Dearest Home focuses on love, longing and loss, and explores the different ways we experience and talk about them.

Producers Fox Stage Productions and Aged In Wood Productions have announced plans to adapt the blockbuster film WORKING GIRL into a Broadway musical with music and lyrics by Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award-winner Cyndi Lauper and book by FOX TV's 'New Girl' writer and Tigers Be Still playwright Kim Rosenstock. WORKING GIRL is based upon the Twentieth Century Fox motion picture written by Kevin Wade.
