This summer, it's 'almost like being in love!' Goodman Theatre produces the first large-scale, professional revival of Brigadoon -- Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick's Loewe's legendary musical of Broadway's Golden Age -- in more than three decades. Under director/choreographer Rachel Rockwell, a company of 28 actors, dancers and singers breathe new life into the enchanting tale of an 18th century Scottish village that appears every century for one day only -- and the complications that arise when it's discovered by two 20th century Americans. With adapter Brian Hill, Rockwell revisits the libretto for this production, while music director Roberta Duchak and an orchestra of 13 use new orchestrations to enhance Loewe's lilting score.

This April, teen performers came from throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey to participate in a rigorous audition for the much-anticipated Bucks County Playhouse Youth Company. For the first time, the Playhouse proudly offers a free, intensive, six-week musical theatre training program for young actors, culminating in two weeks of performances of Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr. on the legendary stage at Bucks County Playhouse July 28th through August 9th.

On the red carpet for tonight's 2014 Tony Awards, long-rumored lead Kelli O'Hara confirmed she's currently in talks to reteam with THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY director, Bartlett Sher, on the revival.

BroadwayWorld has just confirmed that Tony winner Bartlett will direct the revival. Casting has not yet been announced, though Rodgers and Hammerstein veteran Kelli O'Hara, who just concluded a run in Sher's The Bridges of Madison County, has long been rumored to lead the revival.

California Shakespeare Theater begins its 2014 season with one of the true trailblazing works in the American theater, A Raisin in the Sun, by Lorraine Hansberry, directed by Patricia McGregor. A Raisin in the Sun plays at the Bruns Amphitheater from tonight, May 21 through June 15.

New York Theatre Ballet presented, by arrangement with The Estate of Antony Tudor and The Antony Tudor Trust, an A. Tudor Celebration. The night was a treasure trove of ballets by the great English choreographer Antony Tudor: three of his masterpieces from the 1930s, originally staged in London and an unearthed gem from 1952.

At the special event head of the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization Ted Chapin, who was also acting as Guest artistic director and host, shared that one of the duo's most beloved musicals, The King and I, will be brought back to the stage by Lincoln Center Theatre in Spring 2015.
