The classic Hollywood movie genre 'film noir' begins touring Warrington's libraries this Thursday with a stunning photographic exhibition, special film screenings and a display on the history of cinema in the town.

Red Bull Theater today announced the cast for their next Revelation Reading on Monday May 1st (7:30pm) at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street): the New York Premiere of Nikolai Erdman's The Mandate in a new version by Declan Donnellan (Cheek-by-Jowl), directed by Ethan McSweeny.

Berkshire Theatre Group announces additional casting for BTG's 2017 Summer Season, including Broadway actor, Graham Rowat (most recently featured in the Broadway revival of Sunset Boulevard) as Mortimer in Arsenic and Old Lace.

The Deborah Zall Project will present a program of works by legendary modern dance choreographers Jane Dudley, Sophie Maslow and Anna Sokolow, along with dances by Deborah Zall, May 12 & 13 at 8 PM at the Martha Graham Studio Theater, 55 Bethune St. 

The University of Washington School of Drama will present Sarah Ruhl's adaptation of Orlando by Virginia Woolf, directed by School of Drama Professor and CIVIC REP Artistic Director L. Zane Jones. The production runs April 28th - May 7th at the historic Glenn Hughes Penthouse Theatre on the University of Washington campus.

The authors who wrote the books for even the most successful Broadway musical comedies of the 1920s and 30s often get a bum rap for the flimsiness of their plots and the nonsensical nature of their gags.

Berkshire Theatre Group announces the final production of its upcoming 2017 Summer Season will be Mark Medoff's Tony, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk Award-winning play, Children of a Lesser God, which will begin performances on Thursday, June 22 at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage. The 16th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today announced its lineup of 57 thought-provoking and diverse short films in competition, including 36 world premieres. The selected shorts, 40% of which were directed by women, and include filmmakers from every corner of the globe, were curated from a record 4,385 submissions. They will be presented in 10 distinct competition programs, consisting of five narrative, four documentary, and, for the second year, one animated program. In addition, there is the Sports Shorts program as part of the 11th annual Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival, sponsored by Mohegan Sun. The Shorts program, sponsored by Nutella Originals, is a part of the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival, which runs April 19-30.

An epic romance retrieves from oblivion the lost story of the Holocaust of Libyan Jews in 'Benghazi Bergen-Belsen,' a play by Lahav Timor that is inspired by the Brenner Prize-winning 2016 novel of the same name by Yossi Sucary, the first book about Jews in World War II Libya. The play is translated from Hebrew by Inbal Timor and directed by Michal Gamily. La MaMa Theatre will present its world premiere run March 23 to April 9 in its Downstairs Theater, 66 East Fourth Street, Manhattan (East Village).

Lillian Hellman's 1941 play WATCH ON THE RHINE isn't often produced, but it's certainly a relevant one in today's troubling times. The end result is a must-see production for the serious theatergoer.
