?National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu has approved more than $82 million to fund local arts projects & partnerships in the NEA's second major funding announcement for fiscal year 2016. Included in this announcement is an Art Works award to TADA! Youth Theater, now celebrating its 30th Anniversary. The Art Works category supports the creation of work & presentation of both new & existing work, lifelong learning in the arts & public engagement with the arts through 13 arts disciplines or fields.

With the launch of the second season of OpenICE, a multi-year program to engage new listeners for contemporary music through an outpouring of programming that is free and open to the public, the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) announces the appointment of Ryan Muncy (ICE saxophonist) and Alice Teyssier (ICE flutist/vocalist) as the new Co-Directors of OpenICE. Cerullo, JSC Theatricals, presented the 2nd Annual Celebration of American Circusat the Big Top at Lincoln Center on January 5, 2016. For the second year, the Celebration of American Circus boasted an impressive roster of honorees, all of whom have spent decades furthering the appreciation of circus arts in America. George Street Playhouse today announced the cast of David Rush's Nureyev's Eyes, which runs February 2 through February 21 at the New Brunswick theatre. Bill Dawes will portray Russian defector and star of ballet and screen, Rudolf Nureyev; William Connell will play painter Jamie Wyeth, the son of famed artist Andrew Wyeth and grandson of illustrator N.C. Wyeth. The production will be helmed by George Street Playhouse Resident Artistic Director Michael Mastro.
