Cantando Na Chuva (Singin' in the Rain) is set in the roaring '20s and silent movie stars are the biggest names in the world. Don Lockwood (Jarbas Homem de Mello) has it all, a string of hit films and a studio-engineered romance with the most beautiful actress in town, Lina Lamont (Claudia Raia). But with the new phenomenon of the talking picture on the way and a chance meeting with Kathy Selden (Bruna Guerin), a talented young chorus girl set to steal his heart, things are about to change for Don and for Hollywood forever. With all the charm, romance, comedy and tinsel town glamour of one of the world's best-loved films, Cantando Na Chuva songs include Good Morning, Make 'em Laugh, Moses Supposes and the legendary Singin' in the Rain.

Arizona Theatre Company (ATC; David Ivers, Artistic Director; Billy Russo, Managing Director) is pleased to welcome back four-time Academy Award-nominee Marsha Mason, who will direct Neil Simon's autobiographical romantic comedy Chapter Two to open ATC's 51st season, Sept. 9-30 at the Temple of Music & Art, 333 S. TheatreWorks Silicon Valley kicks off its 48th season with the World Premiere of The Four Immigrants: An American Musical Manga. Drawn from one of the first ever graphic novels, set to an infectious ragtime and vaudeville score by local composer/lyricist Min Kahng, the comic musical follows four Japanese immigrants in a world of possibility and prejudice: turn-of-the-twentieth-century San Francisco. From a tumultuous earthquake to an exhilarating World's Fair, the quartet pursues the American Dream, despite limited options in the land of opportunity. Directed by TheatreWorks Associate Artistic Director Leslie Martinson, and developed at TheatreWorks' 2016 New Works Festival, the World Premiere ofThe Four Immigrants: An American Musical Manga will be presented July 12-August 6, 2017 (press opening: July 15) at Lucie Stern Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. Opened in 1928, the lavish Ohio Theatre was built to be a movie house, complete with an extravagant theatre organ to provide the soundtrack of the day's silent films. On July 20 and 21, the Ohio returns to its roots with the CAPA Summer Movie Series presentation of silent film The Freshman starring Harold Lloyd.

 March 21, 2017 marks the 100th birthday of Maestro Anton Coppola, the conductor and composer whose career has spanned from singing in the Metropolitan Opera Children's Chorus for the American premiere of Puccini's Turandot at age 9 to - 91 years later - conducting his own an alternate ending for Puccini's unfinished masterpiece, one of two new works to be premiered on March 25th at Coppola Conducts: 100 Years Young. This concert will be presented by Opera Tampa, the company for which Coppola was the founding Artistic Director.

This May, in celebration of Frank Lloyd Wright's 150th anniversary, UNESCO World Heritage List-nominated Hollyhock House presents a J.U.S.T. Toys Production in association withCircle X Theatre Co. of a very unique immersive event, FEFU AND HER FRIENDS, written by Maria Irene Fornes, with choreography by Zsofia Nemes, musical composition by Daniel Szabo and directed by Kate Jopson. FEFU AND HER FREIENDS is the first play EVER to be performed at the iconic house, which is located in the heart of Barnsdall Art Park, a vibrant, artistic and recreational destination.
