The two-night celebration just got even crazier with the addition of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 7 winner, VIOLET CHACHKI, who is bringing her tiny, 18-inch waist and ferocious glamazon style to slay LUCHA VaVOOM's audience in Downtown Los Angeles at The Mayan. The innovative Violet will perform an aerial act for her sensational L.A. Burlesque debut.

The Ziegfeld Club has announced that Anna K. Jacobs has been selected to receive the 2016 Billie Burke Ziegfeld Award. The award will provide Jacobs with a grant of $10,000 and a year of professional mentorship from mentors including Tony Award-winning producer Barbara Whitman. Zoe Sarnak and Shaina Taub are the honorable mentions chosen by the awards panel. Recipients will be honored during a reception that will feature distinguished speaker Jeanine Tesori and a special musical performance by Masi Asare, who is the recipient of last year's inaugural award, on Monday, November 7, at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

Beginning 16 October, Hauser Wirth & Schimmel will present a comprehensive exhibition of the renowned Dadaists Kurt Schwitters (1887 - 1948) and Hans Arp (1886 - 1966), in the context of works by the Spanish painter, graphic artist and sculptor Joan Miro (1893 - 1983). 'Schwitters Miro Arp' was first curated for Hauser & Wirth Zurich in Summer 2016 to celebrate the centenary of the Dada movement in the city of its birth. The new iteration of this group show will include a significant addition of works by Hans Arp - the first large-scale treatment of works by Arp in Los Angeles.

Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, JERSEY BOYS will make its Saenger Theatre debut Dec. 13 - 18, 2016, as a show option of the East Jefferson General Hospital Broadway in New Orleans 2016 - 2017 season.

San Francisco Opera announces the installation of a new, permanent photography exhibition Looking Through the Lens: The Glory of San Francisco Opera, Past and Present. Located in the Diane B. Wilsey Center for Opera, the exhibition features 135 photos drawn from the newly formalized Edward Paul Braby San Francisco Opera Archive collections. Many of the photographs in the exhibition have never before been published, displayed or seen by anyone outside of the Company staff and archive volunteers. The retrospective marks the beginning of the Company's public celebration of San Francisco Opera's Centennial in 2022.
