The 104-year old National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene's (NYTF) critically-acclaimed sold-out Yiddish language production of Fiddler on the Roof, playing at the Museum of Jewish Heritage (MJH) is extending for 14 more performances-including a special 104th presentation. A first for NYTF, the unprecedented success of the Yiddish language Fiddler on the Roof has allowed the production, presented with English and Russian supertitles, to be extended twice since it's July 4th debut.

Rick Skye, who won the 2017 MAC Award for Best Impersonation, will star in and host Don't Tell Mama's new monthly variety show Bazaaz! A Sequined Variety. The show, which will feature Skye's heralded impersonation as Liza Minnelli singing in his own voice, will showcase award-winning impersonations, guest performers and Skye's Kit Kat Boyz. Bazaaz! The city-wide school tour of Irving Berlin's Land That I Love, featuring music & lyrics by Irving Berlin & book by 4-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin (Aladdin, The Wedding Singer, Elf the Musical), has extended its performance schedule into May due to popular demand & strong audience response from the first month of school tour performances across the city. Presented by leading NYC arts education nonprofit Inside Broadway (Executive Director, Michael Presser), Land That I Love is a special collaboration between Inside Broadway and the Irving Berlin Family & is specifically produced for New York City public schools. The tour began in January and will now be performed at over 60 NYC public schools in Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx and Queens, with over 100 performances thru May 5 (in 2017, Inside Broadway will be serving over 50,000 New York City students with its programs).

She rose to attention on Broadway at age 21 in Where's Charley? before becoming a familiar star of film and television. Her daughter Iya Gaynes Falcone Brown said the cause of her mother's death was Alzheimer's disease.

Boston Ballet's 2018-2019 season opens with Genius at Play, a program that celebrates the centennial of choreographer Jerome Robbins' birth, his storied career, and his countless contributions to dance. The all-Robbins program opens with an orchestral performance of Leonard Bernstein's Candide Overture followed by Interplay, a bright and colorful work for eight dancers set to a jazz score by Morton Gould, and Fancy Free, his first of many collaborations with composer Leonard Bernstein, which depicts the antics of sailors on shore leave in New York City in the 1940s. The program concludes with the Company premiere of Glass Pieces, a bustling tribute to urban life choreographed for 42 dancers and set to music by Philip Glass. Genius at Play runs September 6-16, 2018, at the Boston Opera House.
