OKC Broadway and Celebrity Attractions recently announced the national tours that will be stopping in Tulsa and Oklahoma City for the 2020-2021 season. Most of these tours are either currently running on Broadway or closed very recently. OKC will welcome MEAN GIRLS, MY FAIR LADY, BLUE MAN GROUP, DEAR EVAN HANSEN, FROZEN, PRETTY WOMAN, and WICKED; while Tulsa will bring ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE, MEAN GIRLS, THE LION KING, OKLAHOMA!, TOOTSIE, PRETTY WOMAN, and HADESTOWN.

Musical legends Mariah Carey, Annie Lennox / Dave Stewart p/k/a Eurythmics, Ernie Isley / Marvin Isley / O'Kelly Isley / Ronald Isley / Rudolph Isley / Chris Jasper p/k/a The Isley Brothers, Steve Miller, Chad Hugo / Pharrell Williams p/k/a The Neptunes, Rick Nowels and William “Mickey” Stevenson will become the latest inductees of the Songwriters Hall of Fame at the organization's 51st Annual Induction and Awards Dinner. These legendary songwriters wrote mega-hits such as, 'Vision of Love,” “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” “Shout,” “The Joker,” “Hollaback Girl,” “Heaven is a Place on Earth,” and “Dancing In The Street.” The star-studded induction event is slated for Thursday, June 11th at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. This fall, Craft Recordings will reissue three titles fromSocial Distortion's independent catalog on vinyl. Set for a September 27th release, the LPs include the band's 1983 debut, Mommy's Little Monster, their 2004 studio album, Sex, Love and Rock 'n' Roll, and 1995's Mainliner (Wreckage From the Past), which compiles early singles and rare B-sides. Through an innovative partnership helmed by the Columbus Symphony's Associate Conductor Peter Stafford Wilson and Columbus Children's Choir's Artistic Director Jeanne Wohlgamuth, the Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra (CSYO) and the New World Singers of Columbus Children's Choir will present a concert showcase at NYC's Carnegie Hall on Friday, June 15, at 8pm. The groups rallied together funding resources and artistic talents to not only support the performance, but to commission a new work for the occasion. From Earth to Heaven by composer Craig Courtney will make its world premiere in this program via 158 local students in grades 6-12.
