Josephson Entertainment, Erich Jungwirth/VoiceChair Productions and Richard Jordan Productions Ltd announced today the Off-Broadway premiere of BASIC TRAINING (www.BasicTrainingNYC.com), a new comedy created by and starring Kahlil Ashanti. BASIC TRAINING is a hilarious story based on one soldier's outrageous experience in the U.S. Air Force and will play the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow St. at 7th Avenue, 1 block south of Christopher Street) beginning Friday, Sept. 26th with an official opening on Monday, Oct. 13th.

The Colony Theatre Company presents the third production of its 2008 - 2009 season, the Los Angeles premiere of MARY'S WEDDING, written by Stephen Massicotte and directed by David Rose. MARY'S WEDDING will preview on Wednesday, October 22; Thursday, October 23 and Friday, October 24 at 8:00pm and will open on Saturday, October 25 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, November 23 at The Colony Theatre, 555 North Third Street (at Cypress) adjacent to the Burbank Town Center.

This May, Berkeley Repertory Theatre continues its string of solo shows by presenting No Child…, the off-Broadway play that became the breakaway hit of the year. Performed by Nilaja Sun and directed by Hal Brooks, No Child… runs from May 11 through June 1 on Berkeley Rep's Thrust Stage. Opening night is Monday, May 12.

The Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the full company joining Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald as 'Lizzie Curry,' Tony Award winner John Cullum as 'H. C. Curry,' and Steve Kazee as 'Starbuck' in a new Broadway production of 110 in the Shade, with a book by N. Richard Nash, music by Tony Award-honoree Harvey Schmidt, lyrics by Tony Award honoree Tom Jones and directed by Lonny Price.
