Old School Square, in partnership with the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA), will presentCarols by Candlelight, a new, outdoor concert experience that will become a Delray Beach holiday tradition, supporting local children's programs. 

San Francisco Opera presents Giuseppe Verdi's Aida in a new production directed by Francesca Zambello and featuring designs by Los Angeles-based, contemporary visual artist RETNA(Marquis Duriel Lewis). A co-production with Washington National Opera, Seattle Opera and Minnesota Opera, this striking and bold vision for Verdi's enduring classic will feature soprano Leah Crocetto and tenor Brian Jagde in their role debuts as the lovers at the heart of the opera, the enslaved princess Aida and the Egyptian war hero Radames. Mezzo-soprano Ekaterina Semenchuk is Amneris, the daughter of the king who desires Radames' love, baritoneGeorge Gagnidze portrays Aida's vengeful father, Amonasro, and bass Raymond Aceto is Ramfis. The international cast and San Francisco Opera Orchestra will be conducted by Company Music Director Nicola Luisotti. Resident Conductor Jordi Bernacer will conduct the final performance on December 6. Ian Robertson is Chorus Director.

The Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance begins its fall season with the BlakTinX Performance Series from September 30 to December 7, 2016.  This annual multidisciplinary festival inaugurated in 2002 celebrates art and performance by Black, Latinx and artists of color. BAAD! is located in a neo gothic style building at 2474 Westchester Avenue. Back in February, BroadwayWorld reported that stage and screen star Kevin Kline would star in The Acting Company's reading presentation of Noel Coward's charming comedy PRESENT LAUGHTER. Now he's taking the show to Broadway, according to the New York Times.

Jazz pianist Aaron Diehl will join Music Director Alan Gilbert and the New York Philharmonic for the 2016-17 season Opening Gala Concert, performing Gershwin's Concerto in F in his New York Philharmonic debut, Today, September 21, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. The concert launches the New York Philharmonic's 175th anniversary season and Music Director Alan Gilbert's farewell season with a program honoring the Philharmonic's legacy of premiering important works, particularly music connected to New York City. 'It's Love!' Goodman Theatre adds eight performances of Mary Zimmerman's revival of Wonderful Town, extending the show through October 23.
