On the weekends of October 25th and November 1st, Berkeley Light Opera Company (BLOC) will presentLove, Loss, and What I Wore by Nora and Delia Ephron (based on the book by Ilene Beckerman). This witty and touching play about 'matters of the heart and matters of the closet' (New York Times), uses clothing, accessories, and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that every woman can relate to. The play will be directed byVincent J. Balzano and will feature Lori Ahrens, Leonie Higgins,Stephanie Long, Danielle Marchand, Karen O'Donnell and Lori Roper.

The Lied Center for Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has announced its 24th season of world-class performing artists. The season includes 51 performances of 31 shows from a wide range of genres including Broadway, classical music, dance, theater, world music and jazz, comedy, holiday performances, folk music and shows for families.

Showcasing local talent, Houston-based vocalists Kam Franklin, Lisa Harris and Lucas Gorham will perform as back-up singers on many of the evening's hit songs.

The Chicago Humanities Festival (CHF) presents the third annual Morry and Dolores Kohl Kaplan Northwestern Day on Oct. 13 on the Northwestern University campus, and the seventh annual Hyde Park Day on Oct. 20 on the University of Chicago campus. These two annual events kick off the 2013 Fall Festival, which will explore the theme of Animal: What Makes Us Human with 88 events throughout Chicago in October and Nov. 1-10.

Due to critical acclaim and popular demand, Playwrights Horizons has announced an extension of its New York premiere production of MR. BURNS, A POST-ELECTRIC PLAY, a new play by Anne Washburn, with music by Obie Award winner Michael Friedman. Directed by Steve Cosson, the Obie Award-winning Artistic Director of The Civilians, MR. BURNS is being presented as the first production of Playwrights Horizons' 2013/2014 Season.

Hub Theatre Company of Boston presents the Boston premiere of LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE under the direction of Paula Plum. Music is evocative, but it turns out that clothing serves the same function for many women. Producers Daryl Roth and Eva Price announced today that Sebastian Arcelus, Fred Dalton Thompson (in his Broadway debut), and John Douglas Thompson will star in the new Broadway courtroom drama A Time to Kill, Tony Award-winning playwright Rupert Holmes' stage adaptation of John Grisham's best-selling novel. This new Broadway play holds the distinction of being the first-ever John Grisham property to be adapted for the stage.
