Cheyenne Jackson and Alexandra Silber Star in San Francisco Symphony's WEST SIDE STORY, Now thru 7/2
In a partnership for the ages, two Broadway legends-Bernstein and Sondheim-took Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet from Verona in the 1500s to New York's Upper West Side in the 1950s, replacing the Montagues and the Capulets with American and Puerto Rican street gangs. Their unforgettable work, with tunes universally loved, comes alive in a dynamic concert version, the first time an orchestra has performed the complete musical in a concert performance.
Jackson's next projects include 6 Dance Lessons in 6 Weeks, HBO's Behind The Candelabra with Michael Douglas and Matt Damon and working as host of The Onion Presents: The News, as well as the movies Mutual Friends, Lucky Stiff and Beautiful Now. Other TV credits include 30 Rock, GLEE and more. Jackson most recently appeared on Broadway in The Performers and has taken the stage in Finian's Rainbow, Xanadu, The 24 Hour Plays 2005, On the Twentieth Century, All Shook Up, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Aida, as well as off-Broadway's Damn Yankees.
Silber has appeared on Broadway in Master Class and in the West End's Fiddler on the Roof and The Woman in White. Her Off-Broadway and regional credits include Love, Loss, and What I Wore and Carousel.
