Frances Black Projects in association with CAP21 proudly presents Commedia dell'Artichoke, a new comedy about love, dreams, pizza and trying to make it in New York. This production, a contemporary take on commedia dell'arte - the classic Italian style of theatre with masked actors performing a blend of scripted and improvised comedic scenarios - plays January 15 - February 6 at the Gene Frankel Theatre (24 Bond Street, between Bowery and Lafayette).

AMERICAN PSYCHO just announced that Tony Award-winner Alice Ripley(Next to Normal), Tony Award nominee Jennifer Damiano (Next to Normal) and Helene Yorke (Bullets over Broadway, 'Masters of Sex') will join previously announced Benjamin Walker (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) in the cast of the highly-anticipated musical. Directed by Rupert Goold (King Charles III), AMERICAN PSYCHO, based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis, has music and lyrics by Tony and Grammy Award-winner Duncan Sheik, a book by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa ('Glee') and choreography by Lynne Page (La Cage Aux Folles).

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, presents the Pulitzer Prize-winning play You Can't Take It With You, continuing Northlight's 41st Season. Today, Christine and the Queens releases the critically acclaimed English self-titled debut album in North Americavia Neon Gold / Because Records / Atlantic Records. The pop sensation will join Marina and The Diamonds on tour starting 10/19, which will go through California, Portland, Canada, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Denver, and end with 3 New York shows; two at Terminal 5 and a solo headline show at Webster Hall.

Fathom Events, New Line Cinema, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures will present all three extended editions of The Hobbit Trilogy across a three-night theatrical event, featuring The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey on Monday, October 5; The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug on Wednesday, October 7; and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies on Tuesday, October 13. Each of the features will play at 7:30 p.m. local time. This is the first time that the extended editions have been shown in movie theaters, including the never-before-seen extended edition of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. In addition to the events, there will be a special on-screen introduction from the Trilogy's director, co-screenwriter and producer Peter Jackson.
