On Today, November 26, iconic American composer Philip Glass will be awarded The Eleventh Glenn Gould Prize at an exclusive concert in his honour, presented by The Glenn Gould Foundation and the NAC Orchestra.  The Genius of Philip Glass features the NAC Orchestra led by guest conductor Dennis Russell Davies performing a concert of music spanning the legendary composer's career.

Oakland's beloved Christmas Revels travels to 1920's Wales and the childhood village of the great Welsh poet Dylan Thomas this holiday season with A Revels Christmas In Wales. Shortly before an audition for her first professional Shakespeare play, gifted and entitled young actor Anna arrives in a college rehearsal hall expecting help from brilliant, bitter acting instructor Curt. When their work together leads to professional success but personal misery, they must decide whether or not to break their Shakespeare code and uncover how they really feel about each other.

College of DuPage (COD) College Theater presents Oscar Wilde's "A Woman of No Importance," directed by COD Professor of Theater, Amelia Barrett at the McAninch Arts Center's Studio Theatre, Oct. 6-23. "A Woman of No Importance" premiered in 1893 in London's Haymarket Theatre. As with many of Wilde's plays, it satirizes English upper class society and features many witty, memorable and highly quotable lines, such as "Men marry because they are tired; women because they are curious. Both are disappointed;" and "Nothing succeeds like excess." Please note: This play contains adult language and themes.

NAT TURNER IN JERUSALEM, the first production of the New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) 2016/17 Season, will host a post-performance discussion entitled "…And Justice for All?" on Sunday, October 2 following the 7pm performance with leaders from the faith-based, legal, political, social justice, and artistic communities.

The new generation of Irish rock and dance began tonight when ROCKIN' ROAD TO DUBLIN inaugurated its 60-city tour at the McGregor Hall Performing Arts Center in Henderson, NC.  On Sept. 29, the show will be performed at the Victoria Theater in Dayton OH, announce the creators and executive producers, Celtic rocker Chris Smith and Irish Dance World Champion Scott Doherty.

L.I.P. Service is thrilled to announce their production of Bernard Pomerance's THE ELEPHANT MAN (with original cello composition by Josh Bradford), Directed by Shawn Gann and starring Jason Leyva, Pat Watson, and Sara Lovett; and, featuring *Bert Pigg, and Chris Messersmith. The performance will premiere at The Firehouse Theatre on September 29 at 8:00pm. It will run through October 15 today, Friday and Saturday evenings.
