In celebration of four-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally's 80th birthday, producers Hunter Arnold, Debbie Bisno and Tom Kirdahy announce a new Broadway production of Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, starring Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award winner Audra McDonald and two-time Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon, directed by Obie Award winner Arin Arbus.

Theatre Royal Bath today announces four additional productions - Vienna 1934-Munich 1938, The Life I Lead, Trying It On and The Man in the White Suit, to complete its Summer Season 2019 programme and further casting with Katherine Parkinson, Janie Dee as well as Vanessa Redgrave, Miles Jupp and David Edgar among the stars set to take to the stage in both treasured classics and acclaimed new works.

It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize Administrator Dana Canedy that Jackie Sibblies Drury's Fairview has officially won the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

This fall, the Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth College launches a partnership with North America's preeminent Shakespeare company, the Stratford Festival, involving the US premiere of historic and critically acclaimed production of Shakespeare's Coriolanus, directed by genre-defying theatermaker Robert Lepage.  

Tickets are now on sale for Michael Grandage Company's critically acclaimed production of John Logan's Red, starring Alfred Molina and Alfred Enoch. The show will be presented by Trafalgar Releasing in selected cinemas across North America and the UK on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.

The Toronto International Film Festival®'s Wavelengths programme is thrilled to unveil the 18th edition of its adventurous and carefully curated lineup of shorts and feature films from around the world. This rich and varied selection of 43 films demonstrates the ways in which filmmakers continue to expand cinema's aesthetic, narrative, and documentary forms and languages. This year's selection comprises 4 programmes of experimental short films, 2 curated pairings, and 10 features, each contributing to an exciting, diverse lineup of moving-image art. Full casting is announced for Foxfinder's West End premiere which begins performances at the Ambassadors Theatre on 6 September and will play a strictly limited season until 5 January. Olivier nominee Bryony Hannah (Call the Midwife) and Paul Nicholls (Law & Order, The C-Word, EastEnders) will join the previously announced Heida Reed (Poldark) and Olivier winner Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones' Ramsay Bolton, Misfits) in Dawn King's unsettling and darkly comic drama.

It was announced today that the critically acclaimed production of John Logan's Red with Alfred Molina and Alfred Enoch in selected cinemas across the UK and North America on November 7 2018. Tickets will go on sale from August 15.

Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece Long Day's Journey Into Night  comes to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts for a limited three-week engagement from Friday, June 8 through Sunday, July 1. Richard Eyre's acclaimed Bristol Old Vic production stars Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons(Brideshead Revisited, Reversal of Fortune,  'The Borgias') and Olivier Award winner and Oscar nominee Lesley Manville(Another Year,  'Harlots,' Phantom Thread). Matthew Beard (The Imitation Game, The Riot Club), Rory Keenan (BBC's 'War & Peace,' 'Peaky Blinders') and Jessica Regan (reprising the role as Cathleen from the 2016 Bristol Old Vic production) round out the ensemble cast.  

The American Theatre Wing and The Village Voice announce that Tony Award-nominated and three-time Obie-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant will receive a special Obie Award for Lifetime Achievement at the 63rd Annual Obie Awards.

Rubicon Theatre presents a timely and trenchant production of Shakespeare's tragedy KING LEAR as the centerpiece of the company's 20th Anniversary Season. Directed by Co-Founder James O'Neil, the production features a 20-member cast led by acclaimed actor and company memberGeorge Ball, who has starred in previous Rubicon productions of All My Sons, Man of La Mancha, and Jacques Brel… (New York, L.A., and international companies of the latter).

Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) will host Druid, Ireland's most celebrated theatre company, and their critically acclaimed production of Waiting for Godot. Directed by Tony Award-winner Garry Hynes, Druid's production of Samuel Beckett's absurd, anarchic masterpiece will make its regional premiere at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street, NW) from April 17 through May 20, 2018 before it travels on to Chicago.

Falls directs his adaptation, based on a translation by Eleanor Marx-Aveling, with a cast featuring Philip Earl Johnson as Thomas Stockmann, doctor and chief medical officer of the baths; Scott Jaeck as Peter Stockmann, Thomas' older brother and town mayor; Lanise Antoine Shelley as Katherine, Thomas' wife; Rebecca Hurd as Thomas' daughter, Petra. Based on the original Donmar Warehouse production, this new production of Red by John Logan is the first ever UK revival since Grandage originated the premiere at the Donmar in 2009. The production went on to win six Tony Awards including Best Play.

Court Theatre, under the continuing leadership of Charles Newell, Marilyn F. Vitale Artistic Director, announces the extension of All My Sons by Arthur Miller, directed by Charles Newell and featuring Kate Collins, John Judd and Timothy Edward Kane. Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev go head-to-head in Blind Date, a new play by Rogelio Martinez directed by Goodman Theatre Artistic Director Robert Falls. Today, Falls announced his cast for the world-premiere production, which features as characters some of the figures who shaped the political landscapes of the 1980s and beyond.
