The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF), New York's premier French cultural and language center, today announced the 2019 Crossing the Line Festival, featuring 11 performances and a gallery exhibition from a geographically, generationally, and artistically diverse group of artists whose work transcends genres and boundaries. All performances are world, US, or New York premieres; they are united by their convention-breaking fearlessness as they confront topics from social injustice to personal demons. Many of the performances pay homage to legendary artists of our time and previous eras, while the theme of migration and its transformational effects on identity informs several others. DCINY (Distinguished Concerts International New York), presents ¡BUENA ONDA! MUSIC FROM SOUTH AMERICA, featuring two choral works by Venezuelan composer Alberto Grau and the world premiere of Argentinian composer Martin Palmeri's Gran Misa.  Led by guest conductors María Guinand from Venezuela and Saul Zaks from Argentina, with Kirsten Allegri, Mezzo-Soprano, Shawn Mlynek, Tenor, and André Chiang as Baritone. 

Ayckbourn's plays have proven to have worldwide appeal, and naturally New Jersey is no exception. Although sandwiched between busy theatrical hubs New York City and Philadelphia, the New Jersey has substantially contributed to Ayckbourn's popularity with numerous productions throughout the Garden State.

Perhaps one of the most influential artistic figures of the 20th century, Yoko Ono's work as a performance artist and musician is conceptually bold and politically confrontational. In fact, her career can broadly be understood as a lifelong performance poem, with her early art and music pieces created in New York City a compelling opening line in her always positive narrative. On Friday, March 22, the LA Phil presented BREATHEWATCHLISTENTOUCH: The Work and Music of Yoko Ono at Walt Disney Concert Hall as part of the LA Phil's season-long Fluxus Festival, produced in partnership with the Getty Research Institute and Girlschool who named the concert after Ono's Dance Piece X which includes a Fluxus score that is a fitting summation of the grace, love, and sense of peace that permeates her career.

Innsbrook After Hours announced additions to its 2019 Summer Concert Series at the SERVPRO of Richmond Pavilion. The band 311 will headline XL102's Big Field Day on May 18th, along with special guest K. Flay and a full day of music. Earth, Wind & Fire performs on July 31st. Auréole – flutist Laura Gilbert, violist Mary Hammann, and harpist Stacey Shames – is considered by many the world's pre-eminent flute, viola, and harp ensemble, having commissioned and premiered more works for their instrumentation than any other such trio in the world. Embracing the Wind, a new disc of works written between 1978 and 2000 by Israeli composers Paul Ben-Haim and Lior Navok and Americans Ian Krouse and Robert Paterson, is the group's 15th recording, and its first on the American Modern Recordings label. It is the 20th AMR release.

Hartford Opera Theater will offer New in November 9, a collection of short operas and opera excerpts. The Anchoress, a new monodrama by composer David Ludwig, "a composer with something urgent to say" (Philadelphia Inquirer), will have its world premiere today, October 17, 2018 at 7:30 PM at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia under the auspices of the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society. The next evening, Thursday, October 18, the New York premiere will take place at DiMenna Center for Classical Music. Set to texts by Katie Ford, whose poetry "possess[es] the veiled brilliance of stained glass windows seen at night" (The New York Times Book Review), The Anchoress is based on the medieval mystic tradition called anchorism and its relationship to contemporary society. It will be performed by soprano Hyunah Yu, the early music ensemble Piffaro: The Renaissance Wind Band, and all-saxophone PRISM Quartet.

Winner of 19 major accolades, including multiple Tony, Olivier and Drama Desk Awards, Stephen Daldry's (Billy Elliot, The Crown) multi award-winning production of J.B. Priestley's classic thriller An Inspector Calls will kick off a four-city U.S. tour at Shakespeare Theatre Company from November 20 through December 23, 2018.

Fall activities for the Centennial, which begins this month and extends through all of 2019, include a wide range of performances, film screenings, discussions, education initiatives, and new works by other artists in conversation with Cunningham's work.

Following sold-out UK tours in 2016 and 2017, and a critically acclaimed hit run at the Arts Theatre in the West End in 2017, The Wipers Times will once again tour the UK this Autumn. It opens at Nottingham Theatre Royal on 28 August 2018, and visits Oxford, Exeter, Malvern, Leicester, Eastbourne and Birmingham before returning to the Arts Theatre in London for a 7 week season. Gingold Theatrical Group (David Staller, Artistic Director) is proud to announce that Bonhams and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will present A Celebration of Robert Osborne, an auction of more than 400 posters and memorabilia from the estate of the beloved Turner Classic Movies host. Aside from the collection of rare posters, the sale, which will take place June 13th at Bonhams New York (580 Madison Avenue), will feature Bette Davis's personal Sarah Siddons Award, letters, film props, contracts, and theatre and film ephemera will be available.
