Det har Henrik Szklany sat sig for at finde ud af med et hverdagsdrama fra det Danmark vi kender til, men som vi alle frygter at blive en del af.

Tickets are now on sale for the debut cinema run of PIPELINE, coming to movie theaters nationwide October 3, 5, and 7. The Live From Lincoln Center presentation—produced in partnership with BroadwayHD—depicts a mother's hopes for her son and their clash with an educational system rigged against him. The powerful work was originally staged at Lincoln Center Theater in 2017 to wide critical acclaim. Hailed as “potent and intensely acted” and confirming Dominique Morisseau's “reputation as a playwright of piercing eloquence” (New York Times), the film will be available in cities across the U.S. including New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Sergio Mendes, “the man who put go-go boots on Brazilian music and brought it to the world,” (Billboard) will make a rare Los Angeles appearance when he brings his vivacious bossa nova to The Soraya on Saturday evening, October 27 at 8:00pm.  A giant in his genre, Mendes has recorded more than 35 albums over a nearly six-decade career thus far.  Joining him to open the evening will be French-Chilean singer Ana Tijoux who debuts her new project, Roja y Negro, new album of acoustic guitar celebrating Latin American folk music.  With Mendes and Tijoux on stage, two generations of Latin American artists will share their passion both for traditional and popular music.

Directed by Michael Di Jiacomo, Imperfect Love is inspired by the tumultuous life of the great Italian actress Eleonora Duse (1858-1924) and her nine-year love affair with the poet and playwright Gabriele D'Annunzio (1863-1938). The production, which is set to open on February 4, runs at The Connelly Theater and features set and costume design by the Academy Award-winning Italian designer Gianni Quaranta (Merchant-Ivory's A Room with a View). Turturro's 1998 film, Illuminata, which was co-written by Cole and Turturro, was based on Cole's Imperfect Love.

Kaos Garden, the first immersive experience of elrow'Art made its successful New York debut at Avant Gardner. The 10 hour event held on December 14 from 7:30 to 5AM sold out to capacity with over 6,000 fans from 16 states and 14 countries in attendance. elrow, who are the world's leading, roaming, global, immersive event brand have been holding a successful three year New York residency but this was the first time they took over all three stages in the 80,000 square foot warehouse venue.

FOLD is a collectively run audio-visual performance space and studio complex nestled in an industrial wasteland Founded by a group of eclectic artists, DJs and party people, FOLD is a never seen before, organically built venue and creative space with a 600 capacity 24 hour dance floor. The music collective is situated above a print factory on an industrial estate between Canning Town and Star Lane with a second room opening later this year. Benefiting from 24 hour access to the Jubilee line and London Overground, the space sits within a non-residential location, giving the tailored soundsystem (un)limited at 110DB and a bottom end of 32hz the freedom to fill the main room which is complete with lighting to rival venues twice it's size. This unassuming building will soon be rumbling for the launch party which takes place on August 18th and runs for at least 24 hours. It celebrates London's most progressive party crews and DJ collectives - coming together to unite fellow ravers from all over the city.
