Drag artist Varla Jean Merman's new show, WONDER MERMAN, pays tribute to inspirational women throughout history, both real and fictional. The idea that "behind every great man, there's a great woman" feels tone-deaf, at best. But a more arcane expression that may actually hold true is that behind many a great drag queen, there's a great man.

On April 28, the Long Beach Playhouse Studio Theatre opens the 2018 season. Eagle Theatre's THE FANTASTICKS hosts a cast full of arts education advocates. Paul Weagraff, a professional actor hailing from Wilmington, Delaware, has appeared in six Eagle Theatre productions. Currently starring in THE FANTASTICKS, his view on the importance of arts education spans far beyond the theatre itself. Music at Kohl Mansion has announced the lineup for its 35th Anniversary season of chamber concerts in Burlingame's historic Kohl Mansion, opening Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 7 pm.
