While Eagle Theatre closes its latest production of Neil Lebute's hard hitting dramedy, THE SHAPE OF THINGS, a production of a different color waits in the wings, just in time for the Holidays.

From World-Premieres to re-conceptualized Broadway caliber revivals, Eagle Theatre has garnered a reputation for World-Class entertainment, shining the spotlight on a Mainstage season filled with an eclectic mix of material. Their upcoming production of THE FANTASTICKS, off-Broadway's longest running musical, is no exception to the rule.

Co-Artistic Director Ed Corsi explains "We like to keep our audiences on their toes. In the spring they sailed with pirates, in the fall they experienced a provocative one-two punch play, and in the winter they will have the opportunity to enjoy a new take on a familiar and family friendly classic."

What patrons may not realize is the quick turnaround that accompanies each Mainstage production. There are only four weeks between each production, with just one week devoted to deconstructing the previous set, as well as the assembling the upcoming. The actors and director are permitted three weeks to stage and rehearse the material, while the lighting and sound designer have simply a matter of days to create, illuminate, and deliver a product worthy of an audience.

Co-Artistic Director Ted Wioncek III claims "The infectious energy that surrounds these immediate deadlines can be akin to that of cramming for a final exam. However, do not be misled. While we are given merely weeks to assemble an entire production, the casting may have been completed six months prior, and the planning stages often take place years in advance. There is no doubt that it takes a village to bring these full scale productions to life. But, when the audiences arrives, and the transportive power of live theatre takes over, making everything feel magical and effortless... it is all well worth it."

THE FANTASTICKS opens November 10th and runs till December 10th. Eagle Theatre anticipates its season finale to hit record-breaking sales records.
