Eligibility and award category designations for the productions under consideration this season were determined by the Drama Desk board of directors with recommendations from the nominating committee. Because of the abundance of great work throughout the season, the Board also authorized the increase in the number of nominees allowed in select categories.

The full cast is announced for the UK premiere of Jon Robin Baitz's acclaimed play, Other Desert Cities, opening at The Old Vic on Monday 24 March with previews from Thursday 13 March. Directed by Lindsay Posner, the new production will star Sinead Cusack, Peter Egan, Clare Higgins, Daniel Lapaine and Martha Plimpton.

Tarragon Theatre, under the artistic direction of Richard Rose, proudly presents Marry Me A Little with music and lyrics by the undisputed master of the contemporary musical, Stephen Sondheim. Directed by Adam Brazier with musical direction by Paul Sportelli, this charming and bittersweet tale about love, loneliness and commitment stars Elodie Gillett and Adrian Marchuk. Marry Me A Little opens Wednesday, March 5 and runs to April 6 (with previews from February 26) in Tarragon's Mainspace.
