The Magic Theatre’s first Home Resident Company- Campo Santo is honored to announce a return encore engagement of the premiere run of OTTO FRANK, a new performance piece created and performed by incomparable star of film, television, and stage Roger Guenveur Smith.  

ELLA: An American Miracle, a new musical written by Anna Deavere Smith (Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 and Notes From The Field) and featuring music from the Ella Fitzgerald songbook, is currently in development, with an upcoming work session held from August 25-September 21 to conclude with a private industry presentation.

New tickets are on sale this week for the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella which will waltz into Sydney's Lyric Theatre in October. Pre-sales for tickets up to 8 January 2023 have begun and general public sales commence Friday 5 August.

Out of the Box Theatrics announced they will produce the first Off-Broadway revival of the critically acclaimed musical, Floyd Collins. The production, to be directed by Christina Sajous (Broadway’s SpongeBob SquarePants, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, American Idiot; Out of the Box Theatrics’ 2019 production of Baby), will play from November 11 through December 18, 2022.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere musical, Goddess. The musical stage production is conceived and directed by Saheem Ali, music and lyrics by Michael Thurber, and written by Jocelyn Bioh. Previews begin Saturday, August 13, and the show runs through Sunday, September 25.

The Broadway company of the Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago welcomes Erich Bergen in the role of “Billy Flynn” starting Monday, August 1 through Sunday, September 11 at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St., NYC)

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Three of the season's productions will be mounted at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and three will be staged at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 51st season with the hit musical Ragtime. This sweeping and stirring musical masterpiece paints a portrait of America at the dawn of the twentieth century, interweaving the lives of three families—an African American family, a Jewish Immigrant family, and a wealthy white family—finding their places and pursuing the American Dream in a rapidly changing world. Featuring a Tony Award-winning book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Terrence McNally (Master Class, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink) and a Tony Award-winning score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Once on This Island, Anastasia, Seussical The Musical), this musical is based on E. Djanet Sears' provocative play Harlem Duet joins the Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival's 33rd Season in Sen̓ákw/Vanier Park. The Bard premiere of Harlem Duet runs on the Howard Family Stage in the Douglas Campbell Theatre for a limited engagement from June 15 to July 17, 2022.

Irish Repertory Theatre announced today casting for the World Premiere of the new musical The Butcher Boy, featuring book, music & lyrics by Asher Muldoon. The Butcher Boy will begin previews on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage on July 21, 2022 and is set to open on August 1 for a limited run through September 11, 2022.

The season opens with the world premiere of El ultimó sueño de Frida y Diego, the Company debut of Puccini's Suor Angelica, the return of Gianni Schicchi after a fifty-two-year absence, and performances of the beloved warhorse Tosca. The dētour Series consists of the world premiere of three one-act operas by composer Nicolas Reveles for an evening entitled Ghosts, and The Falling and the Rising, an opera co-commissioned with the United States Army. 

The first performance in Australia of the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella will take place tonight, Friday 20 May, at Melbourne's Regent Theatre. One of the most beautiful and beloved musicals of all time, Cinderella will play at the Regent Theatre until 23 July, with seasons following at the Lyric Theatre QPAC, Brisbane from 5 August and the Sydney Lyric Theatre from 23 October.
