Flora and Jess are separated by more than a century, but a chance meeting across time leads them to a magical world beyond the mirror, where the triumph of hope rests with the power of friendship and imagination.

This stunning new musical adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale combines an enchanting musical score by award winning Composer Rebecca Applin together with captivating storytelling by Susannah Pearse. No Resolution is singer / songwriter / musician Michal Towber's eighth studio album, and her first partnership/collaboration with guitarist/saxophonist AR.  The album was co-produced by Towber and Kazim Zaidi, and recorded in his home studio in Freehold, NJ.  It was mixed by Dae Bennett and mastered by David Kowalski.

According to this reviewer's admittedly casual bit of Googling, the first Broadway production based on Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' was playwright Alice Gerstenberg's version, which opened at the Booth in 1915. But undoubtedly there were many other variations before then.

Mercury Theatre Colchester and TBO Productions today announce full casting for the world premiere of their brand-new musical - Pieces of String, with book, music and lyrics by Gus Gowland. Ryan McBryde directs Carol Starks (Jane), Andy Coxon (Ed), Marilyn Cutts (Rose), Ella Dunlop (Gemma), Lauren Hall (Anna), Joel Harper-Jackson (Tom), Craig Mather (Edward) and Gary Wood (Harry). Open auditions were held in Colchester to cast Young Rose, and the part will be alternated by three young people local to the theatre. Pieces of String, designed by 2017 Linbury Prize Finalist Fin Redshaw, opens on 27 April at the Mercury, with previews from 20 April and runs until 5 May.

Over the past 29 years, she's had over 70,000 pricks (of the medical kind), and she'd like to set the record straight: she's not bankrupting the NHS, and she Can Eat Cake. From her own experience and with the support of JDRF, the world's leading type 1 diabetes research charity, she aims to clear up some of the common misconceptions, misunderstandings and misdiagnoses' around the disorder. Using spoken word, poetry, and an original soundscape, Jade tells her story about families, learning to care for each other better, and the ups and downs of dealing with a lot of pricks.

London Playwrights' Workshop is partnering with musical theatre writing team Barlow & Smith to create the Women's Musical Theatre Initiative (WMTI), a new development programme for female musical theatre writers. The WMTI will launch with a cabaret 'Celebrating Female Songwriters' at The Pheasantry on 12 February 2018.
