In the summer of 1993 renowned composer and jazz pianist Roy Budd's score for Rupert Julian's classic 1920s silent film The Phantom of the Opera was to set be performed in London. Then he had a brain haemorrhage. Nearly a quarter of a century later his widow, Sylvia, fulfilled his dream and Budd's masterpiece score to the 1925 Phantom of the Opera was performed at the London Coliseum on 08 October 2017, featuring the 77-piece orchestra. The performance received a resoundingly positive response from critics and audience alike.

SHN and Producers Tommy Mottola, the Dodgers, Tribeca Productions and Evamere Entertainment are pleased to announce a San Francisco engagement at the SHN Golden Gate Theatre from November 27 to December 23, 2018 as part of the 2018-2019 SHN Season for the North American tour of A BRONX TALE, the new musical featuring a book by Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, music by Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Alan Menken, and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Oscar and Tony Award nominee Glenn Slater, directed by two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro and four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Tony nominee Sergio Trujillo.

The Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance, a program within the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at Wayne State University, is thrilled to kick off our year-long 90 Years of Dance at Wayne celebration with the annual December Dance Concert, December 7 and 8 at Detroit's Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts.  This year's show promises diverse and moving works showcasing highlights of dance through the decades. Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Paradise Square: An American Musical. The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. On Sunday, October 14 at 3:00 p.m., the program features the overture to Le Corsaire; La mort de Cleopatre and selections from Les Troyens, Part II, Op. 5, with mezzo-soprano Lucile Richardot as soloist; and Harold in Italy, Op. 16, with violist Antoine Tamestit as soloist.

This September features many new titles coming to Amazon Prime. Prime Original series King Lear will become available on Prime Video on September 28th. Other Prime Originals coming to the service in September include series premieres of Six Dreams (Sep 7) and Forever (Sep 14) as well as season 1a of Pete the Cat (Sep 7) and season 2b of Wishenpoof (Sep 7). Additionally, you can catch season two of PBS's hit British series Victoria starting August 25 on Prime Video. 

Ivan Reitman, who directed and produced some of the most iconic films of the past four decades, including the mega-hits Ghostbusters, Animal House, Stripes, and Dave, will make his first Wizard World appearance in special sessions on Saturday, August 25 at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. Reitman, whose dozens of blockbuster credits also include National Lampoon's Animal House, Stripes, Kindergarten Cop, Space Jam, Heavy Metal, Old School, Road Trip, Disturbia, Up in the Air and many others, will sign free autographs for fans during his Wizard World Comic Con Chicago visit, pose for photo ops and conduct an interactive Q&A with Ghostbusters star Ernie Hudson.
