New York-based Passport to Broadway returns with another program for Indonesian performers aspiring to be the next Broadway star. Passport to Broadway has previously worked with Indonesian students by providing various training programs, workshops, and information sessions in performing arts.

Prospect Theater Company announced today that its annual Spring Gala will feature performances and special appearances by Tony, Emmy, and Grammy Award winner André De Shields; Ali Ewoldt (The Phantom of the Opera); Drama Desk Award winner Gretchen Cryer; Drama League and Outer Critics Circle Award nominee Nick Corley and more.

THE BLACK COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO, an original musical by Michele R. Hampton, directed by Cate  Cammarata, with musical direction by Seth Weinstein, is scheduled for a limited run beginning late  September at Off-Broadway's Theatre Row (410 West 42nd St. NY).

The book and lyrics for Serenade are by Rachel Sheinkin, winner of the 2005 Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She also co-authored Off-Broadway's Striking 12, which recently launched a nationwide tour. The kinetic score for Serenade, composed by Nils Olaf Dolven, mixes electronica, pop and classical elements.

WGHT Radio (1500AM), North Jersey's oldies station, has just launched 'Curtain Call,' a new program covering the NY & NJ theater scene. Morning host Teisha Bader will be interviewing stars of Broadway, Off-Broadway and local theaters (including Paper Mill) every Wednesday at 9:30AM.
