Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, Cincinnati's stage for the classics, presents William Shakespeare's poetic history 'Richard II', playing from tonight, January 11- February 3, 2013.

The Alliance National Graduate Playwriting Competition continues to spotlight the best emerging playwrights with a full production for the competition winner and staged readings for four competition finalists. BIKE AMERICA, the ninth competition winner, will premiere on the Hertz Stage February 1 - 24, 2013. Opening night is February 6, 2013. BIKE AMERICA is written by Mike Lew from the Juilliard Drama Division and will be directed by Mortiz von Stuelpnagel.

The epic story of King Henry V's battle with the French during the Hundred Years' War comes alive for the first time at the Folger Theatre, in William Shakespeare's historical drama Henry V. The production, directed by Robert Richmond (Othello and Henry VIII at the Folger), stars Zach Appelman (War Horse on Broadway) in his Folger Theatre debut as Henry V, and will run from January 22 - March 3, 2013.

Following the 80th Anniversary Season's record-breaking attendance, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival announces the 2013 Festival schedule today. Jacob's Pillow is a National Historic Landmark, home to America's longest-running dance festival, and a recipient of the National Medal of Arts.

The Public Theater's new production The Twenty-Seventh Man closes today, December 16. Written by Nathan Englander and directed by Barry Edelstein, The Twenty-Seventh Man officially opened on Sunday, November 18 and was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, December 9.

As previously announced, Rufus Hound will take the lead as loveable chancer Francis Henshall. Mensah Bediako, Owen Brazendale, Gillian Budd, Max Hutchinson, Tom Lorcan, Aimee Parkes and Claire Sundin complete the ensemble.

Playwrights Horizons' production THE WHALE, the New York premiere of a new play by Obie Award winner Samuel D. Hunter (A Bright New Boise), is directed by Davis McCallum (February House, A Bright New Boise, the upcoming Water By the Spoonful at Second Stage) and opens tonight, November 5 at 7PM at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

Casting is announced for Westport Country Playhouse's Script in Hand playreading of "Over the River and Through the Woods" by Tony Award-winning playwright Joe DiPietro, a comedy about a single, Italian-American guy who visits his beloved, though annoying, grandparents every Sunday for dinner. Scheduled for one-night-only on Monday, November 12, 7 p.m., the cast includes Matthew Amendt, Nicole Lowrance, David Marguiles, Frances Sternhagen, Maria Tucci, and Lenny Wolpe. Fort Worth Opera revealed today the names of the composers whose works have been selected for participation in the first season of the company's exciting, annual new works program, Frontiers, making its debut May 6 - 11, 2013.
