The Woodstock Mozart Festival expands to two venues for its 28th season July 24-August 10, 2014: the Woodstock Opera House and the Sanfilippo Foundation's Place de la Musique concert hall in Barrington Hills. Single tickets are on sale now.

The Citizens Theatre today announces its Autumn 2014 season including: A new production of Shakespeare's Hamlet directed by Dominic Hill and starring Brian Ferguson, Roberta Taylor and Peter Guinness; Headlong's 5-star production of 1984, transferring direct from a West End run for its Scottish premiere; National Theatre of Scotland's gutsy production of In Time O' Strife, Joe Corrie's examination of a Fife mining community; Kill Johnny Glendenning, a brutal new comedy by young Scottish writer DC Jackson; and a new production of A Christmas Carol directed by Dominic Hill.

'LeDoux Vie' (published by Trafford Publishing) describes the life story of Jack LeDoux. Born in 1924 and reared in California, this story recounts the adventures of growing up in the 20s and 30s when there were no TV or youth sports' programs. Youngsters in those days played sandlot ball, cops and robbers, cowboys and Indians, kick the can, and various other activities. There was little parental interaction but most of the time; the kids did behave although the story does recount some mischievous behavior, especially on Halloween.

Off-Broadway's award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre launches its 26th season with a revival of Sean O'Casey's JUNO AND THE PAYCOCK, directed by Irish Rep Artistic Director Charlotte Moore. The Emory Cinematheque, a weekly series of free 35mm screenings, presents 'American Comedy Classics,'beginning Wednesday August 28 with Billy Wilder's 'Some Like it Hot' (1959). The screenings take place each Wednesday (plus one Sunday evening) in White Hall 205. A screening of Buster Keaton's films will take place on Sunday, September 29 at 7:30. A special screening of Paul Schrader's 'Mishima' (1985) will be held on Wednesday September 25 as part of famed composer Philip Glass's visit to Emory.

The award winning Foothill Music Theatre swings for the fences this summer with the Tony Award-winning musical DAMN YANKEES. With book by George Abbott and Douglass Wallop, DAMN YANKEES, the musical story of a baseball fanatic who makes a deal with the devil to get his team a chance at the pennant, features a memorable Richard Adler and Jerry Ross score including 'Whatever Lola Want, Lola Gets,' and (You've Gotta Have) 'Heart.' In 'The Past Is Still Ahead' by Sophia Romma, one of Russia's most ill-fated and controversial cult poets of the twentieth century, Marina Tsvetaeva, revisits the tumultuously tragic and sexy events of her life--just before she succumbs to 'suicide' at the hands of the Soviet Secret Police in 1941 while exiled in Siberia. The play will be presented by Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival tonight, July 23, 27 and 28 at The Jewel Box Theater, 312 W. 36th Street, 4th floor, NYC, directed by Francois Rochaix.
