On Thursday, June 28th, there will be an invitation-only reading of Michael McKeever's new play Stuff featuring Sheldon Best (Freed), Penny Fuller (Dividing the Estate), David Greenspan (A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Patsy) and Stephen Spinella (An Iliad, As You Like It). It will be directed by Shelley Butler.

The Howard Theatre, the historic arts landmark that launched the careers of Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Gaye and The Supremes, announces their grand re-opening after a $29 million renovation and a 32-year hiatus. The Howard Theatre will re-open the week of April 9 with an opening lineup that includes Wale, Wanda Sykes, The Roots, Robert Randolph, Taj Mahal, Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def), Meshell Ndegeocello, Bad Brains, Chuck Brown, Chuck Berry, Esperanza Spalding and a weekly Sunday Brunch featuring the Harlem Gospel Choir. Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Artistic Director) is proud to ring in the holiday season with its 2nd Annual Holiday Cabaret Nights, featuring some of the most outstanding talent in the Cabaret and Theatre worlds at Urban Stages (259 West 30th Street) every evening from the 6th through 15th of December. Holiday Cabaret Nights will help support the Urban Stages Outreach Program which brings theatre to children and families through over 200 programs to over 92 libraries in over 44 Council Districts throughout the five boroughs.
