Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Bustling with gamblers, gangsters and sassy showgirls, GUYS AND DOLLS plays in Orange County at Segerstrom Center for the Arts from tonight, April 14 - 19, 2015. The musical celebrates Broadway's golden era with a score by the legendary Frank Loesser and a masterfully witty book and lyrics by Joe Swerling and comedy legend Abe Burrows. GUYS AND DOLLS is based on the glorious Damon Runyon comic book world of 1940s Times Square New York City.

When the latest Rodgers and Hammerstein revival, THE KING AND I, opens in just over a week, starring Ken Watanabe and Kelli O'Hara, it will be the show's fifth Broadway production. Over the past six decades since the production originally opened on Broadway, basically only Yul Brynner has played the King of Siam, earning him the unofficial title of “The King of THE KING AND I.” However, many different women have donned the gorgeous gown to sing “Shall We Dance?” on the Great White Way since the original 1951 Broadway version. Goodspeed Musicals has announced that its planned premiere of THE HONEYMOONERS musical adaptation has been removed from its 2015 season, instead being replaced by IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE.

Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, Guys and Dolls is considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy. This oddball romantic comedy comes to the State Theatre on Wednesday, April 1st.

New York City Center's 11th annual Fall for Dance Festival will feature free performances in Central Park and 24 acclaimed dance companies and artists from around the world, in six unique programs in September and October 2014. In keeping with the Festival's commitment to make dance accessible to everyone, the Festival will kick off with two FREE evenings of dance at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, in association with The Public Theater, today and tomorrow, September 12 and 13 (rain date, September 14) and will continue at City Center from October 8 - October 19 with all tickets at $15. The Festival's many free pre-show events will include dance lessons and panels by choreographers, artists and dance educators. Tickets will go on sale Sunday, September 14 at 11 a.m.
