The workshop of award-winning composer/lyricist/playwright/performer Max Vernon's new musical THE VIEW UPSTAIRS, directed by Scott Ebersold and with choreography by Spencer Liff and music direction by Matt Aument, began rehearsals last week in New York City and will culminate in three industry presentations on March 31st and April 1st. THE VIEW UPSTAIRS is produced by Invisible Wall Productions, and they are proud to announce the cast and creative team.

Producers Barbara Whitman and Patrick Catullo announced today additions to the creative team for the delicious hit comedy, FULLY COMMITTED, starring five-time Emmy Award nominee Jesse Tyler Ferguson as more than 40 outrageous characters. The complete creative team for Fully Committed by Becky Mode, directed by Tony Award nominee Jason Moore, includes scenic design by Tony and Emmy Award winner Derek McLane (Beautiful, 33 Variations), costume design by Sarah Laux (The Humans), lighting design by Tony Award nominee Ben Stanton (Fun Home), sound design by Tony Award winner Darron L West (Peter and the Starcatcher), and original music by Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond ('Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,' '30 Rock').

?San Diego Musical Theatre announces the first production of their 2016 season, RAGTIME, February 5-21, 2016 (press opening on Saturday, February 6th) at the Spreckels Theatre.

After news that CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY -- currently playing in the West End -- would be gaining Jack O'Brien as its new director on Broadway in spring 2017, The Daily Mail reports that choreographer Josh Bergasse has replaced Peter Darling on the creative team.

In the television category of Awards or Event Special, Tony Award winner Derek McLane received two nominations, including his work as production designer for the 2015 OSCARS and NBC's THE WIZ LIVE.

 In a special limited engagement, Signature Theatre presents the world premiere production ofGeorgie: My Adventures with George Rose written and performed by Broadway veteran Ed Dixon (Broadway's Anything Goes, Signature's Sunset Boulevard). Directed by Eric Schaeffer (Broadway's Gigi, Follies, and Million Dollar Quartet), this one-man play chronicles Dixon's relationship with his friend and mentor, the Tony-award winning character actor George Rose (The Mystery of Edwin Drood, My Fair Lady, Pirates of Penzance). Georgie: My Adventures with George Rose will play in Signature's ARK Theatre from January 8 - February 7, 2016. Over the past few days, FOX's GREASE: LIVE has unveiled Vine audio previews for four songs from the musical, including clips from 'Hopelessly Devoted to You,' 'Summer Nights' 'We Go Together', and 'You're the One That I Want.' We reported earlier that it was the cast of GREASE: LIVE performing the tunes, but it turns out they are not featured in these clips. Either way, they're great and you can listen to them below!
