Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) awarded high school students from across the Greater Houston area for excellence in theatre last night at the 16th Annual Tommy Tune Awards!

Legendary ballet costume designer HOLLY HYNES and costume and scenic designer ZACK BROWN are among the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award recipients which were just announced by TDF, the not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts. Ms. Hynes was selected to receive the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Brown will receive the Robert L. B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. The awards are presented through TDF's Costume Collection. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 20, at 6:30pm, at the Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street).

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is once again offering audience members a dazzling, star-packed lineup of amazing shows, memorable concerts, insightful lectures and very special events during the months of March and April.

When the subject of New York City Center Encores! comes up among musical theatre enthusiasts, the conversation almost invariably steers to what shows they should be presenting in their series of concerts. Northern Stage today announced the winners of an unprecedented new grant to support women artistic directors in professional theaters across the United States. The BOLD Theater Women's Leadership Circle, led by Carol Dunne, Producing Artistic Director of Northern Stage, will provide $1.25 million of support for Northern Stage and four other theaters run by female artistic directors during the 2018-2019 season. Each theater will receive a $250,000 grant.

Court Theatre, under the continuing leadership of Charles Newell, Marilyn F. Vitale Artistic Director, announces the extension of All My Sons by Arthur Miller, directed by Charles Newell and featuring Kate Collins, John Judd and Timothy Edward Kane. Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy will present A Night of Philosophy and Ideas, a free sunset-to-sunrise event bringing philosophers, musicians, artists, and authors from around the world in conversation with the Brooklyn and Greater New York community at the historic Central Library at Grand Army Plaza from 7PM to 7AM on January 27 28. This year's edition commemorates the 50th anniversary of the global 1968 student-led protests and will explore how collective action can inform public affairs and daily life, and motivate national and international change.

In 2018, America and the world mark the 50th anniversary of the death of Martin Luther King Jr., even as the struggle to resolve racial tension remains a challenge for communities everywhere. Beginning January 12, L.A. Theatre Works commemorates the anniversary with a touring production of the internationally acclaimed play, The Mountaintop, written by Katori Hall, directed by multiple award-winner Shirley Jo Finney and starring Gilbert Glenn Brown (CBS TV's The Inspectors, upcoming feature film The Best of Enemies) and Karen Malina White (The Cosby Show, A Different World, Malcolm and Eddie). The production will travel to 38 cities across the United States.

From January 14-March 24, 2018, Carnegie Hall presents The '60s: The Years that Changed America, a citywide festival exploring the turbulent decade that was the 1960s through the lens of arts and culture, including music's role as a meaningful vehicle to inspire social change.

Five choreographers, Artis Smith, Germaine Salsberg, Kevin Predmore, Traci Stanfield and Nicole Ohr, will collaborate with current and graduated Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music composers for a program of new contemporary, modern, and tap dances, performed by 25+ dancers, each dance set to an original composition by a different composer - Yuriy Lehki, Daniel Rote, Jacob Szilagi, and Sean Vigneau-Britt. The program will also feature repertory from Smith and Salsberg ('Full Moon Waxing' and 'Down the Rabbit Hole'). The two 2 performances, Saturday December 2nd at the Brooklyn Music School, is a presentation of Artis Smith and Germaine Salsberg, artistic directors, and The Department of Kinesiology and Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre presents Watch on the Rhine, Lillian Hellman's 1940s political thriller about loyalty, family, and sacrifice. The play, directed by Berkeley Rep's associate director Lisa Peterson, begins previews on Thursday, November 30, 2017 and runs through Sunday, January 14, 2018.
