Theater fills the Lackland Performing Arts Center as Centenary Stage Company announces its 2017 - 18 professional theater line-up.  The Sitnik Theatre is set to burst as this season's main stage professional theater series includes four exciting CSC produced plays; The Learned Ladies, Newsies, Art and Hitler's Tasters.  Centenary Stage Company's Fringe Festival also welcomes three incredibly unique guest productions; Song and Dance Men, Seeger: A Multimedia Solo Show and My Name is Gideon: I'm Probably Going to Die, Eventually as the festival returns for its third installment in the Kutz Theatre.

The Muny announced today that Davis Gaines will play the role of Joseph Pulitzer, rounding out the principal cast for Newsies, the seventh and final production of its 99th season. Mark Rylance, three-time Tony Award winner (Jerusalem, Boeing-Boeing, Twelfth Night) and Academy Award-winner (Bridge of Spies), will return to Broadway in the critically acclaimed Shakespeare's Globe production of FARINELLI AND THE KING, a new play with music by author and composer Claire van Kampen, it was announced today by producers Sonia Friedman, Shakespeare's Globe and Paula Marie Black.

For two glittering weekends at the end of May, the world turns its attention to the movie event of the year: TheCaan Film Festival at Museum of the Moving Image. In celebration of the Bronx-born, Sunnyside-raised, and Sanford Meisner-instructed actor, the film series revisits twelve of James Caan's greatest performances, from May 19 through 28, with nearly all films presented in 35mm. Produced by Emery Entertainment, MEN ARE FROM MARS-WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS LIVE! will make a triumphant return to the Playhouse @ Westport Plaza April 19 - May 7.
