SITI Company, the internationally acclaimed ensemble theater co-founded by American director Anne Bogart, presents Bogart's stunning direction of Euripides' tragedy The Bacchae. SHORE is the third part of a trilogy exploring the complex terrain of identity, memory, ancestry, land, and community. Building on these themes, SHORE brings ideas and questions that emerged in the first two works -- the Bessie Award-winning The Thank-you Bar (2011) and the richly layered Niicugni (2013) -- out into the world. Throughout the trilogy, Johnson has asked: How can performance uniquely connect us to our land, our lives, and each other? Julie Ann Brown, professor and American author, has published the third edition of her debut fairy-tale,Alinda of the Loch, Sleeping Beauty's daughter. The book, originally published in 2009 by Across the Pond Publishing is the story of Alinda, the youngest daughter of Queen Aurora and King Colin of the famous Sleeping Beauty story. It takes place on Loch Ness, the famous deep, freshwater loch in the Scottish Highlands. The story was co-written by Julie Ann Brown and Loch Ness born writer, OonaghJane Pope and is the first of it's kind to imagine the continuation of the beloved Sleeping Beauty fairy tale.
