Digital Theatre+, Digital Theatre’s education platform, is delighted to announce, from Thursday 21st April 2022, schools, universities, and educational institutions all over the world will be able to access The Boal Collection for the first time. The Boal Collection is a curated selection of over 400 historical documents including previously unpublished playtexts, letters, videos and photographs illuminating the work and teachings of Augusto Boal. The materials have been carefully selected by Cecilia and Julian Boal, wife and son of the legendary Theatre of the Oppressed innovator.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of the comedy/drama about mid-life crises and aging parents, “Dot,” written by Colman Domingo, star of AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead,” and directed by Q. Smith, on Monday, March 14, at 7 p.m. The live performance will be captured on film for on-demand streaming, from Thursday, March 17 through Sunday, March 20. Westport Country Playhouse Marks 90th Anniversary On June 29

Ninety years ago on June 29, 1931, Westport Country Playhouse opened its doors to its very first stage production. This year, on the exact same day, the Playhouse will mark its 90th anniversary with the opening of the virtual production, “Tiny House,” written by Michael Gotch, and directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director. The regional premiere of the timely comedy about escaping urban life in an isolated mountain paradise will stream on demand from Tuesday, June 29 through Sunday, July 18.
