Michael Rosen's Chocolate Cake opens the new Spring/Summer season at Polka Theatre. The production opens with previews from 23 March and runs until 13 May. It has been adapted by the theatre's Artistic Director, Peter Glanville and Barb Jungr. Glanville also directs Mark Houston(Michael), Aminita Francis (Teacher/Mum) and Todd Heppenstall (Brother) in the production. Check out the trailer below!

Polka Theatre today announces full casting for the world premiere of the brand new musical adaptation of Michael Rosen's Chocolate Cake, opening the new Spring/Summer season. The production opens with previews from 23 March and runs until 13 May. It has been adapted by the theatre's Artistic Director, Peter Glanville and Barb Jungr. Glanville also directs Mark Houston (Michael), Aminita Francis (Teacher/Mum) and Todd Heppenstall (Brother) in the production.

The 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, revealed its feature film lineup championing the discovery of emerging voices and celebrating new work from established filmmaking talent. To close the Festival, Tribeca will World Premiere The Fourth Estate, from Oscar®-nominated director Liz Garbus, which follows The New York Times' coverage of the Trump administration's first year. The Centerpiece Gala will be the World Premiere of Drake Doremus' sci-fi romance Zoe starring Ewan McGregor, Lea Seydoux, Rashida Jones, and Theo James. The 2018 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 18-29.

Opening Night is Thursday, March 22. Father Comes Home From the Wars, Parts 1, 2 & 3 is a co-production with San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater, where it will play April 25-May 20.

HAIRSPRAY Blows Into Dallas

The AT&T Performing Arts Center and Dallas Theater Center jointly announced today an unprecedented new collaboration to coproduce the Broadway musical HAIRSPRAY which will be the first title on the AT&T Performing Arts Center's Broadway Series 2018/2019 season. The smash hit musical comedy HAIRSPRAY will play 12 performances July 7 through July 15, 2018 at the Winspear Opera House in the downtown Dallas Arts District.
