Due to a scheduling conflict, previously announced David Engel has withdrawn from MTW's upcoming production of ANNIE starring Andrea McArdle as Miss Hannigan. Engel will be replaced by Michael Paternostro (Broadway: A Chorus Line, Fosse, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Sweet Smell of Success, Film: Every Little Step) as Rooster Hannigan. Musical Theatre West audiences will remember Paternostro's Ovation Award winning turn as Carmen Ghia in THE PRODUCERS, a role he also played on the national tour.

Roger Rees, a Tony Award winner as Best Actor for The Life And Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby and a Tony nominee for Indiscretions, will assume the role of Gomez in THE ADDAMS FAMILY on Broadway beginning Tuesday, March 22 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street). Rees will reunite with his good friend and longtime professional colleague, two-time Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth, who will continue in the role of Morticia. Nathan Lane's final performance as Gomez in THE ADDAMS FAMILY will be Sunday, March 6.

Film and Broadway stage actress Rachelle Rak is starting a new chapter in her artistic career with the recent release of her debut album, SAS. In celebration of the release, Rak will be judging a singing competition at Bartini tonight, July 27, at 10:30pm and performing her single, 'SAS' at 11:30pm.

On this week's So You Think You Can Dance, top 10 finalist Alex Wong and all-star partner Lauren Gottlieb endeavored to venture out of their comfort zone and tackle a Broadway-style number by Tyce Diorio. In the rehearsal footage beforehand, Diorio said that it's 'Broadway inspired by the Fosse style but with [his] take on it.' Wong, primarily a ballet dancer, however, did not hit a high note with the SYTYCD judges, who suggested lacked the looseness and heat to truly represent Foose. On the episode, judge Nigel Lythgoe suggested Wong watch KISS ME, KATE and THE LITTLE PRINCE for inspiration.

Eric Rosen, artistic director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre, has added CABARET to the Rep's 2010-11 season lineup. Rosen will direct the Tony Award-winning musical written by two of America's most distinguished and prolific songwriters, Kansas City native John Kander and Fred Ebb, with a book by Joe Masteroff.
